OKW Pool Closure Question

Hello Everyone!

We are planning a trip to OKW around Christmas and will be there until Dec. 29th.

Do you think that the main pool slide construction will be completed in time for our visit? Any info I saw says that construction is through the end of the year. Thanks!!

That's all they are saying, "until the end of the year". I'm sure that's to be safe and make sure the work gets done so no one is disappointed. With the date you are arriving, I think you might get lucky and have it opened by then.

So many factors influence any type of construction. If the weather weere to be particulary nasty or extremekly cold it could certainly delay the completion of a project. I would not count on it being completed early, nor even being completed by the promised date, you could get lucky and it could be finished early. Either way, I would not let it be a major concern during my visit to WDW, especially with 3 other pools available at OKW. With so much to do and see at Disney, I wouldn't let the possibility of one pool being closed ruin my plans or my vacation.

"Construction on the OKW's new themed pool will begin September 6 and last approximately 8-10 weeks. During construction of the slide, the main pool, kiddie pool and main spa will be closed."

I would guess for the sake of any delays they will say end ofthe year. Now if everything goes as planned it should only take 6-8 weeks. We all know how thingsd go with construction no matter how well things go they is inevitably delays of one type or another. I would count on early Jan for it to re open.
