OKW Paddleboats

Are these readily available and can you use them around DTD, Saratoga area, and Port Orleans? (doesn't the boats go to Port Orleans). Does the boat traffic become an issue? I have seen a pic regarding the prices but was not sure the space allowed to use them.

these are really, really slow - you can do what you asked - but if that is the boat you want would go to the Polyn. Yes it is a little more - but at least you see something besides OKW - while you are using it.

Agree with the pp - very slow going. . . don't know realistically how far you could expect to travel ; thinking DTD or Port Orleans might be a stretch.

The slow is a positive for me. Has anyone ever paddled to DTD? I wonder how long it takes. My sweetheart and I love to stroll the grounds ... Would this be like a stroll on the water???

no it only covers a little of OKW - plus the faster boats have a tendency to go faster and will splash you.

would say using one of the paddleboats it might take an hour to get to DTD - unless you pedal a heck of alot faster than I do.

would go with the DTD boat - it is free and reasonable speed.

save the slow boats for places with more to see.

I think I did not make myself clear ... I do not want to stop, only sight see. I have thunk about the paddling and going to DTD and will avoid the hot sun but some of it is shaded if my memory serves. I will do a boat ride and see.
