We are staying there next week and we have no idea where to request to be . We will be in a studio and will have my MIL with us and will need to be a little close to a bus stop due to her illness making her tired . She is not one to complain so she would just suffer and say nothing and be worn out .
We are looking forward to staying at your resort.

We stayed at our home resort last week and now we are super excited to try a different place . SSR is nice but I hear OKW is bigger and nicer so thanks for sharing :goodvibes

I think that the most convenient for your family would be villas near the Hospitality House. That would be buildings 11, 12, 13 and 14. That would put you close to a bus stop, check-in, dining, the main feature pool and boat transportation to Downtown Disney.

Enjoy your stay at my Home away from Home.

I would add buildings 62 and 63, they are also very close to HH area (62 being the closer of the two), plus they have elevators in case you don't get a first floor unit.

Ditto to building 62. We stayed there this past May and it is a very short walk to the HH bus stop, Olivia's and the boat ramp. Here's a map that might help for other buildings to choose from...

Make sure you request either a first floor studio or Bldg 62, 63 and 64 (these three have elevators). None of the other buildings have elevators.

You may want to consider getting a wheelchair or a scooter for your MIL. When we took my mother, we borrowed a wheelchair from the front desk for the entire time she was with us. They took an imprint of our credit card as a security deposit ($250) if we did not return the chair. It was very convenient and though she didn't usually use a w/c, it was more comfortable for her. My lovely husband pushed the chair throughout the parks.

What's nice about OKW is that you will have two real queen beds in the studio instead of one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa.

I would recommend that you let the CM know that your MIL has medical issues/health care needs that require accommodations. They will work with you to accomodate your MIL's needs.

WHOA!!! You are going next week and just getting around to making a request? I'd have done that when you booked to have a better chance. I agree with contacting MS and letting them know you need either a first floor or elevator building close to a bus stop.

I hope you are planning to get your MIL an ECV so she can enjoy the parks. If not, there are wheelchairs available. I find most people will tolerate an ECV before they will submit to a wheelchair.

Whoa! I totally missed the time frame in your original post. Even a request for reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act has a time limit in which to submit a request and receive a response. The only thing in your favor is that Disney often goes well above and beyond the legal requirements to provide a world class experience for guests with disabilities. Other than that I can think of no better advice than what Diane has provided. :thumbsup2
