OKW or VWL 1 Bedroom=4 Adults

Hello
I will be staying at WDW in Oct. As of right now we have a reservation in a 1 bedroom at VWL. There will be 4 adults..myself, my husband, my sister and my mom. I have stayed at OKW many times..My question is are we going to be crammped at VWL. My mom and sister will be on the couch bed...

I have never stayed at VWL but I have stayed in the lodge itself..

I don't think you'll be cramped. Will they mind sleeping on the sofa bed? Of course, they'd have to at OKW.

Stay where you want to stay. We couldn't add days onto our 1br stay at VWL but they had a 2br at OKW. I am glad that we have 3 nts without having to use the sofa bed.

Would you also be in a 1br if you stayed at OKW?

The biggest difference I notice in the rooms is the ability to seat 4 people comfortably at the table to eat. In the other resorts, you can seat 3 at the table, and the others at the "bar". You also loose the love seat in the "living" area, and the laundry room. The washer/dryer are stacked in a closet at VWL.

O.k here's the deal....

I am on a waitlist for either a 1 bedroom or a 2bedroom at OKW.
I am hoping the 2 bedroom comes through (only one night was not available Thurs-Oct 23 ).
I mean if worst came to worst and we had to stay at VWL, which is definately not a bad thing, we would do it gladly. This is my moms 1st time at WDW actually it is her 1st time on a plane and I want to make this trip extra special.
if the 2 bedroom comes available she will feel like a queen!!!!

don't be too upset if it does - OKW is beautiful and roomy - no question - but VWL has the EWP and is a beautiful resort itself - I don't think your mom will be disappointed too matter where you stay - just don't get yourself upset over it.

also you can generally get 2 studios for the points for 1-bedroom - someone would still have to sleep on the sleeper-sofa in you go with VWL - but everyone will have their own bed. this generally works better with my family. now the WOW! is generally not there - but it works better on the nerves.

If you can get the 2-bedroom at OKW then I would go for it! Not only would everyone have their own bed but you would have 2 bathrooms for the same amount of points as a 1-bedroom at VWL. However,you will certainly not feel cramped at VWL and the resort is beautiful.
