We closed last Weds, found out we in the system yesterday!
We have our hearts set on a trip in October, and we need a 2 br, and the only resorts available during that time are OKW and SSR. DD is 3 yrs old - which of the two is the best for kids her age? My personal preference is OKW from an adult perspective, but we want her to get the most out of the pool and other activities.
I can't wait til next year when we can book 11 or 7 mos out and have more options, but this is what we have to work with for now!
TIA!!!

bump - surely somebody has little ones and has been to these resorts - help a mommy out!

My 3 year old really likes the SSR pool. In fact, when we were staying at AKV in December he made us pool hop to SSR. He just kept saying he wanted to go to Toga Springs.

I haven't been to OKW to compare.

SSR b/c of sprayground over at GRandstand--she can play and you can be in hottub right next to her. Zero entry pool at Springs, smaller toddler slide and milder big slide than OKW. Very good Community Hall, take her when there are not scheduled activities, CM will give her princess painting sheets, they have lots of games to play, etc.

We have not yet had the opportunity to stay at SSR, but we have done OKW with our kids a few times and they loved it as much as we did. The extra space was wonderful, and we really enjoy the layout of the kitchen/dining area much more than that of the other resorts.

The pools are great and the main pool has a slide that even our 2 year old went down many times. There are plenty of activities at the Community Hall, and even when things are not schduled there are CMs there that hand out paint/coloring pages and there are games and movies showing.

We love the large balconies and would sit out there and feed the ducks. We could aslo watch Daddy when he came by on the golf course.

I really think that you will be happy with either one, and if there is another resort you are interested in you could always try to use the Waitlist ... this has worked for us in the past, too.

Welcome Home! Jennie
