Going down in August and have WLV 2 bedrooms booked for 4 nights can either do OKW or SS 2 bedroom for the 3 nights before. Which would you choose and why??? I'm torn:/:dance3:

OKW has 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. SSR has one bed and a pull out couch. OKW is also larger and has a full size washer and dryer. Both resorts have boat access to Downtown Disney. SSR is newer but OKW requires fewer points.

Both are large resorts. Enjoy your vacation!!!

SSR dedicated 2bd has 2 beds in the 2nd bedroom and a king in the other bedroom. A 2bd lock-off at SSR is a 1 bd and a studio so the 2nd bedroom has a bed and a pullout couch.

SSR has the new themed pool, so they now offer two themed pools. SSR has a quick service along with table service, OKW only has table service.

I would choose SSR nothing wrong with OKW but I like SSR a lot more than OKW. Hard to say why just how I feel about the resort.

I would go to OKW! I want tropical feeling on my vacation. Love palm trees! I'm not a fan of the Saratoga theme. It's beautiful no doubt but no palmtrees! ;-)

For a 2BR, OKW is Huuuuuge! If "bang for the point" interests you, OKW is worth checking out.

OKW is the most relaxing of all resorts in my opinion. We stayed there one time simply for the cheap studios with 2 beds. It has become my DS12 favorite resort. He loves the main pool, the layout of the resort, the boat to DTD, and Olivia's. The size of the rooms is what wows me! The studio side is huge!! We've never stayed in a 1 or 2 bedroom there because we had plenty of room for all 4 of us in the studio.

Our favorite building is 27. The building is close to the first bus stop when coming back from the parks. To head out to he parks we walk the short walk over to Hospitality House to catch the bus after we see it pass our building. This way we don't have to ride the bus through the resort. There is something about 2 bedrooms and the door to the bathroom in buildings under 30? that you want to check out on the OKW Lovers thread. I can't remember the exact details.

If I could teleport anywhere right now (oh do I need to) it'd be OKW.

Oh, why? Peaceful back porches looking at golf courses fountains or canals. Smooth boat rides to DTD. Relaxing by the sand pile pool. Spacious rooms wood floors. Parking at your room.

I have stayed at both with family and both were extremely nice. You will enjoy both and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at either.

With that in mind, I think that SSR has it way over OKW on quick-service dining. As for table service, I thought the food a Olivia's was great, but likewise enjoyed Turf Club even with its more limited menu.

The pool at SSR was probably a "smidge" nicer and SSR has better access to Downtown Disney, although the boat ride from OKW to Downtown Disney wasn't bad either - it just took longer.

As for the villas, OKW has the larger rooms, which was nice, and the feel of the resort is more "vacation-like" with the tropical feel. However, SSR had a tranquil feel to it that I enjoyed.

In other words, it's a tough choice, but you'll be happy with either outcome, I think.

Just visited OKW once and have stayed at SSR many times. Just really like SSR. OKW seemed overgrown to me and I had a difficult time finding my way around at night.

Unless you love golf and/or Downtown Disney, OKW beats SSR across the board. It has better amenities, more spacious rooms, and is much better in terms of transportation to the parks.
