We will be travelinng to disney spring break. It will be me, my mother, my mother's friend and her daughter. We are debating OKW or POR. OKW has larger rooms that may accomodate an air mattress. However, we are wondering how comfortable the murphy beds in POR are. Also, last time we stayed at OKW we found food options to be lacking. It is right by Disney Springs though. Any opinions??

The murphy bed is fairly small... my youngest was fine on it when she was 9, but as a 12 year old... it wasn't big enough for many nights.

We have stayed at both resorts and the food options are definitely lacking at OKW. But that is the only disadvantage, IMO. The bus is better for OKW because it doesn't get the huge crowds at park close that POR gets. We've had to wait for three buses before we could fit on one at park close when staying at POR. The rooms are much bigger, too. The Murphy bed is cute, but when it is down it covers up the drawers underneath it and you can't use them. There is less storage in a POR room than an OKW room.

Both resorts have the boat to Disney Springs but it is a shorter boat ride from OKW than from POR.

I love OKW because of the rooms size but the food options are horrible, you can always take the boat to Disney Springs

Eating options are lacking at OKW, I agree. Although we order from Garden Grocer and don't mind cooking some simple meals, I know not everyone wants to cook while on vacation. But Disney Springs is pretty close and there are tons of great places to eat. We can't wait for our next trip so we can try some of the newest ones.
