Thinking of doing a last minute trip at the end of April. I called today for availability. I have my choice of 1 bedrooms (SSR, OKW, BWV or BCV). We have stayed at SSR our last two visits. We are staying at BCV in Oct so I would like to try something new. This is only going to be a relaxing resort trip with my DS4 and DS8. We do not plan on doing parks. Maybe just one day at the water park. They love to swim and love slides. So which one would you stay at OKW or BWV. I have not stayed at either yet.

I would do the BWV, if you are not doing the parks the pool is fun and the boardwalk is really lively at night you can watch all the entertainers or rent a four person bike and ride around the entire boardwalk area!

For me that would be torture with Epcot so close! I was going to say the quiet of OKW and boats to DTD with the Lego store would be fun.

Well hello again. We have stayed at both and will do so again in April. 4 days at BWV and 5 days at OKW. BWV has a really cool, and long, slide for the kids. Plus it is close to all the activities at Boardwalk, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. OKW is more relaxed. Pool area has a good slide and is very relaxing. For a short trip I would probably agree and go with BWV. But at the same time I think you will be amazed how much you enjoy OKW the first time you stay there. :lovestruc We bought intto SSR and AKV, but always enjoy OKW, plus the points per night is always a great value!

okay, called ms yesterday and they had a studio at OKW for two nights and a studio at BWV for 3 nights. So I took them. We are going to try out both resorts. So all of you that have experience moving resorts how did it work. I was hoping to leave our stuff packed up, call bell services, head to a water park and them just come back to the other resort. Does that sound like it would work? We are not going to have a car.

Yes call bell services and tell them you are changing resorts.
They will transfer your luggage.....Of course the control freak that I am
I take a cab with my luggage and check in 1st then head to a park.....or
my room if ready.

We switched from OKW to BCV last August. Call the luggage assistance number the night before to make your transfer arrangements (per the CM at OKW). You will have to be there when they move your luggage (at least one person). They will tag all of your bags with the resort you are moving too and give you a receipt. Don't forget the tip. Then after you check in at BWV later and have a room, call bell service and have them deliver your bags....again you must be in the room to receive them. Don't forget the tip. We moved 10 bags last year, so with a $20 tip at OKW and a $20 tip at the BCV, it was worth the $40 to have someone take care of the bags. We actually had 2 cars so could've taken them, but just didn't want to bother with them throughout the day. With 2 babies, 2 strollers and 2 car seats in the car, 7 adults, groceries, there just wasn't room for everything. Keep in mind that they will not move your groceries if you have any open items. Unopenned stuff could be put in your luggage.
