OKW @ NYE '08-is this a pipe dream?

So, we passed ROFR & close on 4/21. That's still about 8 months away from New Year's week. Our use year is September, & we will get 150 points then. Do you think it would be possible to book a studio for New Year's week at OKW, our home resort, or are they pretty booked up by now?

I got New Year's week at okw (2br) last year, getting on the waitlist at about 6.5 months. I think you have a decent chance of getting a room somewhere. As soon as you close, get on the phone to book, if there is no avail., get on the wl then at the 7 mo. window, call and add other resorts to your wl (ssr, akv...)

(They will let you book in April with the points you will be getting in Sept., don't wait till Sept)

OKW will pobably have something available as it is the second largest DVC resort, studio may not be available but I'm sure something will be.

I assume you mean '09 and not '08. Since we are still within the 11-7 month window you just might have a chance. It depends a bit on the size unit you need. I'd call ASAP.

The seller can't make a reservation, since Disney cancels all existing ressies when the sale occurs.
