It's not Conch Flats pool, is it?

Conch Flats is the name of the store, so perhaps that is the name of the pool also.

When we've stayed at OKW, I don't recall seeing that the pool had a name. Maybe the Turtle Krawl pool?

I loved the main pool when we were at OKW but I can't remember the name of the pool.

However, based on the behavior of the adults that I saw, I think the pool should be called the
"I'm going to go down the slide with my small child on my lap and ignore the lifeguards and the warning signs" pool. The name is a little on the long side , I guess. Might have to shorten it up to fit on a sign.

Might be a bit long for the sign, but they could mass produce that sign and name every darned pool at WDW that.

Well perhaps the same situation does exist at some of the other pools around WDW. But we stayed at AKL and WL prior to our stay at OKW and never ran into that situation at either of the those places. At the top of the slide at WL and AKL , there was almost always a lifeguard stationed there. They would supervise each person getting on the slide and tell them when it was clear to go. At OKW, there was only a green light at the top of the slide to tell people when to it was clear to go down. I was just amazed at the attitude of the adults who flagrantly would decide that these don't apply to them and then put their kids (we are talking some kids younger than 2 yrs old-but generally 2-4 yr olds) at risk going down the slide in an unsafe manner.
How can you expect the kids to learn to follow safety regulations, if the adults won't do the same?

I heard one parent describe the lifeguards as a "bunch of nazis" and another say the liguards here are "psychotic". It makes me wonder what kind of a free-for-all the mini water park at AKV will turn in to!

Well, I am glad the lifeguards are a 'bunch of nazis' or 'psychotic' as a few years back I actually witnessed them save a young boy after he did not come up after going down the slide!!!

We call the OKW pool, the 'pool' as we have never used the 'quiet' pools in all our years at OKW. Actually, I have only been to one of them!!!

hey the quiet pools are my favorite. only been to the main pool a couple of times. - way to busy for me!
