OKW Lovers Thread. Part 2

We've stayed at OKW many times on rented DVC points, and my nephew would like visit to reminisce and maybe grab a bite at Good's Food to Go on our next visit. I've checked the menu and cannot find if the entrees are still served with french fries. Please can anyone who's there and ordered QS kindly let us know? TIA

When we are there in March, I am pretty sure they just served kettle chips with the sandwiches & burgers.

Hello! Are the boats running to/from Disney Springs? I heard they were back, then the water levels were too low for a bit so thought I'd check as I will be there in 2 weeks. So excited! Thanks!

I was starting to wonder about that also. We'll be there in another month, but DS loves taking the boat from OKW to DS, one of his favorite reasons he likes OKW so much.

Unfortunately, no way to predict or anticipate.
Was there in spring. Boats were fine for 2 weeks (if a bit SLOW in/out of SSR) but 2 days after we left, boats shut down. And they can't inform us of start-up dates bc it really does depend upon water levels.

Question for those who have stayed at OKW lately... do the tv's still allow for external hook-ups (i.e. HDMI)? I have an iPad which I'm hoping to hook up so I can do some streaming on. I am not familiar at all about the whole cast-thing to the tv's that the other resorts have. Hoping someone can help. Thanks.

The last time I was at OKW I used Chromecast by using my iphone to scan a barcode on the screen, and streamed from Disney+ and Netflix. It was really simple. I'm unsure if you can still use HDMI, or if the remote will still allow you to select the HDMI input, like we used to. I don;t remember if the DVD players are still in the room, if they are, you could probably disconnect their HDMI cable, and connect that way. But I honestly do not remember if they are still there.

I'd never used Chromecast prior to this, but is was really easy.

I did not see any MB 2.0s in any retail stores throughout WDW during my 2 week trip late last month, including the OKW General Store. MB 2.0s are no longer available on the preorder page, and even Character Warehouse only had MB+s for sale on clearance.

Thank you! There were a couple of options on my MDE to purchase, maybe to be safe I should just grab what's available. I do not care to use the magicband+ honestly, i don't want to charge anything else

Well, an uncharged MB+ will work the same as any older MB - any time you tap Mickey to Mickey, it will let you into the park or LL, open your Disney resort room door, or charge food or merchandise to your Disney resort account. The only thing the MB+ needs a charge for is for linking ride photos that don't have touchpoints at the end (letting MDE on your phone use Bluetooth will take care of that) and for playing games or getting special effects from statues or with fireworks.

Yes, for sure by the bathroom sinks, can't remember about the tub. In any case, you can simply call Mousekeeping if you need more!

I was just here a few weeks ago in a 1 bedroom, yes soap at all sinks, I’m pretty sure one was by the whirlpool tub. Shower had just pump body wash, conditioner and shampoo.

We were in a 2 BR the week after the hurricane and we had soap only at the sink next to the whirlpool tub, nowhere else.

We're about to stay in January in a one bedroom near HH. we've never stayed here before, but I had to find a 1 BR to replace a deluxe studio I had at BWV.

Any recommend a for building if we'd like the closest to HH and the Bus stop?

We stayed in building 14. It was right across from the HH house bus stop… very convenient!
