OKW is awful - never stay there again.

That explains us waking up one morning on the porch, in bed. Those roaches are strong. My wife saw seven of them marching off into the wood work and could have sworn she heard high pitch voices singing hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we went. One thing can be said, they have the Disney spirit.

Have the Florida Panthers they brought in helped with the rat problem?

Not at all, the rats have multiplied and the panthers have mauled three guests in the past week. :teeth:

And to get to the bathroom, yikes! It's all the way past the full size kitchen, with all it's full sized appliances, down the hallway, past the spacious laundry room with it's full sized washer and dryer (you'd think a small closet with a stacked washer/dryer would have been just fine), through the corner of the enormous master bedroom, then through the spacious jacuzi and sink area, and finally getting to the bathroom.
.

:rotfl:

This REALLY bothered me about the 1BR we stayed at! My bladder just can't take it!! I'm going to stay in studios from now on!!

OK as long as we add that the BCV is awful too, I love the BCV that i hate staying there :rotfl: By the way DH says we have to go back to OKW to try out the new pool, sorry. But that wont be until next christmas 2006. we are booked already for christmas & easter :rotfl:

A friend of a friend said his brother's cousin was killed by a golf ball at OKW. (They didn't leave early. They just shipped him home. UPS. On ice.)

And I hear Voldemort has booked a villa for Halloween.

Face it, the place just isn't safe!

Why couldn't they have just made the units tiny, like they did for BWV, VWL, BCV, and SSR???? At least in those units you can be a true couch potato and just get a drink out of the fridge, go to the bathroom, and be back on the couch having taken less than 10 steps total. In those units you can really conserve all your walking energy and save it for walking around the parks.
Ah CB, Richyams would be truly proud of this post! :smooth:

I think OKW has been fine, ever since they caught the serial killer. Mickey somebody. ::MickeyMo

As if the hikes across a unit, or getting lost on the balcony weren't enough, we have encountered another critical issue with OKW. We are having difficulty burning up our points!

We have a two-bedroom for four nights in December, and even thought it's amost 90 points for that stay, we are still going to have to bank points again next year! Those darn banking deadlines are driving me nuts!

(Okay, it's a putt, not a drive...)

We are considering cruising on points, just to use them up!

1) When young, I walked 3-miles in the snow to school. OKW size is worse.

2) The cockroaches are better since the snakes have eaten a lot of them.

3) It's tough to be in Tornado, Hurricane and Snow "alley" all at once.

4) They don't need Mickey and Minnie with all the real mice.

5) Our daughters thought the roving dog packs were Pluto and Goofy.

6) Instead of simple characters, they have real witches living there.

7) Eisner is moving in as a permanent resident.

Hi I know this post intended to KEEP us AWAY.but it is so FUNNY :rotfl: that I will just HAVE to book my next stay at OKW!!! Joan :wave2:

Funny, we have an October trip to BWV coming up, but I was considering to switch to OKW (we have young kids and aren't all that fired up over the Food & Wine festival) to stretch our points a little farther. Luckily, you all started this thread and now I'll never go to OKW!

you are sooooooo smart. That is one of the best decisions you have ever made.

I can't believe no one has pointed out the terrible inconvenience it is to have your car parked right outside your door. No long walks from the parking lot to the lobby and then up an elevator to your room. It's terrible to pull right up to your front door and just walk in.

It's not as bad as it used to be...now that the alligators got rid of the racoons and possums!

And what about the Disney landfill that is 20 feet from Building 62?

Whew the smell......

Several people who stayed at OKW a couple of weeks ago went home with the disease(and the cockroaches hitched a ride home in their suitcases) :teeth:

I heard the Mad Cow was a Disney exec! :teeth:

Mary Anne - no one is complaining because they have not gotten out of the hospital for toximia! Wait till next week when their lungs are clear.
