Any suggestions for a building containing N/S Studio accomodations @ OKW. We have 2 young children and would want to be near a pool with a baby pool. Also, looking for a building with rooms that are in fairly good shape. Hoping to hear from someone who has stayed in a studio that they were especially happy with. Thanks in advance.

We stayed last April at OKW in Building 17, room 1711, it was a ground floor one-bedroom with the connecting door to the studio to the right making it a lock-off or 2bedrooom altogether. It was a great spot, right across the street from the bus stop, and Building 19 has a quiet pool next to it that the kids loved (We have 3 small ones) The ground floor was great, no stairs for the kids to navigate (or us to navigate while they slept in our arms after a long day in the parks ;)
The view from the patio was of Hole 9 on the golf course with the fountain beyond that, then the bridge over by the main pool area. It was about a 7 minute walk to the main pool area and lobby. We will be requesting this building again next year. Let me know if you have any more questions!

The Turtle Crawl are has a great neighborhood pool. Take a look at the resort map to find a building near both the pool and bus stop. With little guys, I would suggest the bottom floor.

I have to agree Turtle pond buildings are right close to the pool. In building 41 or 42 you practicly walk out and your in the pool.

We like the pool at Turtle Pond area - it has a fast food counter which is nice and it is less busy than the main pool. No kiddy pool though.

Building 41 is smoking.
Building 42 is right next to the pool, and is non-smoking.

We were there last week, initially in building 44 with windows facing the bus stop, the noise of the buses was very loud, so moved to building 41 (didn't like the smoking building but had no other choice).

Only other problem was that they didn't open the snack bar 2 of the days we were there (and of course those were the "pool days" for us).

We spent our last day at the main pool and really liked it there. Lots of activities (shuffle board, basketball, ping pong), also had a great snack bar as well as a bar serving great drinks. Also have a sauna and hot tub, and a great sand area for little kids.

Enjoy your trip, we sure did!
