We are going to OKW the first week of October. In your experience was the weather warm enough to swim? What type of children's activities did they have?

I don't know about children's activities, but we were there last October and it was warm enough to swim. The big pool was closed last year, but we went to the smaller pools and they were fine. Have fun.

The first week of October has been a really good time to visit Disney. It is great for swimming and the heat is not as bad as in the summer, so it's wonderful for the parks as well.

My wife is a native Floridian and I have been here in Orlando for the last 26 years. We usually have a cold snap come through right around Halloween, but not nearly as early as when you are coming.(Of course this will be the first year for an early cold snap). I hope I didn't jinx it for you. Ha!

HAPPY VACATIONING,
Tom

Cold snap in Florida eh? As in down to 70 or so?? ;)

We stayed at OKW last October and while the main pool was indeed closed it was definitely warm enough to swim. On the days we were there, mid-October, it was in the low to mid-80's each day. We are going the first week of October this year too hopefully.

I was there as well early in October last year. No problem with swimming...nice weather! Good luck and have fun!

Last Oct. we were there during the first week, and had the most wonderful time. We spent a day at TL, went to a MNSSHP and didn't do any other parks, we enjoyed the resort, and finally played some mini-golf!
