OKW, HHI - Nice Open Indoor Areas?

Wilderness Lodge, AK Lodge, and Boardwalk have a nice big indoor area with nice chairs and sofas and so forth to relax in, read a book, and so forth.

Do OKW and HHI have such areas? I am curious for vacationing during busy crowded times for general relaxing. Thanks!

I believe VWL has a large indoor area called the Iron Spike Room which is a reading/game area. I don't know about AKL but BWV also has a reading/sitting area in one of the halls. I do know at HHI you have Big Murggie's Den. It has a couple of big leather chairs, a leather couch, a TV and a pool table. When DW and I were there over thanksgiving weekend it basically became our living room since our studio was a floor above it. I don't know about OKW but surely they have a similar area. I'm sure other sites can give you some more info.

With OKW you get the large spacious sitting area right in your villa! The living room in a one bedroom or two bedroom is very large and very comfortable. Plus you have the very large porch to sit out on and eat breakfast/dinner/lunch. There is a table with four chairs on this porch. It's not just a narrow standing ledge like the other resorts.

There is Papa's Den in the main building right near check in and you have the Community Hall over closer to the main pool.

At HHI Murggies Den is a small fireplaced area with TV, pool table, games sofas, but it is not a grand space like AKL or WL. One other gathering space at HHI is at the beach house. The space has a fireplace TV, games, books, sofas(and its a/ced in the summer). We have often had this space all to ourselves. OKW also has a space similar to HHI, large living room(santa visited there this xmas); very relaxing-its right next to check-in.

How relaxing this spot would be for reading will depend on how many people are waiting to check-in. It is where the kid's tv with cartoons that kids use while waiting for their parents to check-in is located. It's not set apart like the Iron Spike room.

BEsides the large living room and porch in each villa at OKW, there is also Papa's Den in the main HH area.

As others have mentioned, OKW has Papa's Den. Not quite as private as the Iron Spike Room at VWL, as it is right off the lobby/check-in area, but very nice nonetheless. I believe the areas you were referring to at the BWV and AKL are also right off the lobby.
