OKW gave my groceries away

If you order for home delivery do they just leave it on the doorstep? Or do you have to meet them? We don't live in a big enough city for Amazon Prime Now so I have no idea how it works.
I live about 15 minutes past Amazon Prime Now in my area (Boo!), but Instacart expects you to meet at door. I am always home and have instructions for them to leave in foyer of my secure building, but delivery person always buzzes me and waits until I am downstairs to personally hand me purchases. I have always assumed it is for their review rating; I do not know exact policy.

@TavieP Did you get a response from the GM about your email?

Yes, she called back and asked me to explain in more detail what happened. She also seemed very puzzled by the “white out” thing. Then she thanked me.

That was it, I don’t expect to hear anything further about it but I hope they find out what happened and prevent it in the future.

That's too bad. Not a great response, IMO.

An apology would be a great start and letting @TavieP know if there was anything else to make her stay enjoyable not to hesitate to call the GM back with questions or further concerns.

You know, the lowest level of customer service.

She asked if there was anything else she could help me with and I said no.

Would you want an immediate response with a followup if necessary? Or would you accept a delayed response while it was being investigated?

And what happened to WiteOut? Shouldn't it hide the text into painted onto? Mrs. Nesmith would be so disappointed.

Is anyone else as shocked as I am that they still sell white out?

I thought I was going to need some for work and I don't think we even have it in the office anymore.

The whole white out thing here seems... odd, if not necessarily suspicious.

Disney is large, with lot of guests. Even if you have an uncommon last name, there may be another guest with the same last name. They likely got your groceries. I know my grandparents name is not common, it is Dutch, and has been spelled several different ways when "American-ized" through the years. Yet we bumped into some distant relatives from Ohio (we're from Texas) at Disney several years ago, when their name was displayed in the old SuperStar Television attraction.

It's possible to do a bad job with white out, leaving part of the name showing, enough to read what it says.

And I would want an immediate response with a follow up. Disney doesn't have to know I didn't pay twice for the groceries. Not that I'd try to get money from Disney just that as far as they are concerned they need to tell me why my groceries are gone, if they learn more. Like I've said, if whiting out a name is normal, fine. Tell me that's how they do it. I'll think that's a dumb way to do it but so be it. I doubt it is though.

If they aren't sure who it belongs to then they need to cross check with confirmation number for the order.
Just giving it to the one they think it is is not the right process.

I feel like a checkmark or something would make way more sense than white out...but I work in an area with insane records retentions rules (I have my own stash of white out)

Yes. There's a label on it that says DON'T FORGET TO KEEP COLD THINGS COLD. It was an experiment to see if it make our lives easier.

At this point the narrator would say: "it didn't"
Dang, I can see this when we have our 100degreedays. Especially right out in direct sun. Shocking this is their norm. I doubt they'll ever expand here, so it won't matter.
