Would anyone happen to have a link to the color coded OKW resort map? The reason I want the color coded one is because the colors show where the Grand Villas are, Hospitality house areas, etc. Thanks in advance to anyone who has this map.:wizard:

Hope this link works:

I had a GV booked for September and then changed over to BLT. If I were booking a GV, I would book the Hospitality House category. Reason being, with a large group, not everyone is coming and going to the same place at the same time and that location gives lots of flexibility.

There is only one building in the HH category that has GVs, and it is a building that is at the Peninsular Road bus stop. The great thing about that is that is the first stop the busses make when returning to the resort from the Parks, so you are first off. And, it is close enough that you can walk to the HH and board the busses there, which is the last stop before you head to the Parks. So you have the option of being last on and first off and you don't have to take a tour of the resort every bus trip. You may have to stand if you board the busses at the HH house, but all the parks, with the exception of AK are just a few minutes away.

Good luck with your decision.

We stayed in the GV in building #29 this past January. We brought friends who had 4 youngish kids, ages 5-13, and while not in HH category, it was close enough they could easily get to the HH for activities.

Plus, the bus stop is just as the PP said - first off after getting back from the parks.

Gary (GDUL) posted his map in a thread here on the boards a few years ago -

Is it possible to request the actual building numbers along with the area (ie: Turtle Pond, South Point) when making room requests?

You can always add that to your request and then keep your fingers crossed. Just remember that nothing is guaranteed.

Sure, but if that building is not available when you arrive you may not end up in the area at all. I'd request the area as the first request and a specific building only as the last request - that gives the room assignor a better idea what you really want.

What does the red outline on the buildings mean? Is it MA or HA?:confused3

HA...It means that at least some of the units in those building have been handicap modified in some way. Those villas will all be on the ground floor of the building, except for bldg 63, the only HA bldg that has an elevator.

I want to go to the fitness center while we are at Old Key West this weekend and I didn't see it on the map. Does anyone know where it is located? Thanks!

The fitness room is next to Community Hall and Hank's Rent & Return, in the area marked "R".
