OKW bus service.Vero was beautiful

. A little trip report and picts.

Just returned from 2 weeks at OKW and Vero Beach. As always a great time with very few problems. One thing that bothered our group was the bus service at night. Not one or twice but just about every night waits of over 30 minutes were the norm. These waits were not at your very busy times like after fireworks and parades but before these eventsThe dispatch system needs an overhaul not the drivers. With about 100 people waiting at the Poly for transport to DTD and no bus for a long time tends to get everyone talking.

Vero was great.2 bdr 3rd floor with a beautiful view. Only draw back at Vero was the rental of beach chairs and umbrellas. Can get expensive at $21 for 2 chairs and umbrella for a day. Not to mention having exact change at the beach because we did not have charge privs on our room keys. The beach looked great and a new ramp being built to the beach about 50% complete.

Was your wait from the parks to OKW or from OKW to the parks? It kind of looks like it was from the other resorts to DTD, and THAT us a Problem no matter which resort it is.

Diane, Most of our problems were at EPCOT to OKW.Only 1 night at the Poly to DTD.Also AK to OKW abot 45 mins for bus. We had no problems at OKW for busses only getting home

During average crowd times, we have noticed that service in late afternoon tends to slow down from Epcot and AK back to OKW. Also, the AK bus must stop at the water park, and that seems to make it get delayed often. I suspect during crowded times like spring break, this might become more of an issue. Our experience has always been more waits from Epcot, AK and DTD. That is one of the reasons we don't like taking the bus to get to another resort for dinner ressies. It is the only thing I think is lacking about the OKW bus service. Getting to the parks in the morning and the usual busy times of the day seems to be no problem at all.

Thanks for the Vero Pics, we will be there in 2 weeks at a Beach Cottage and it looks awesome. I think that I am almost more excited to go to Vero than the nights that we are staying at the Beach Club. The ocean looks great.
