OKW Availability at 7 months

Help DVC Gurus! need your advise

Planning for next August 2004 family vacation. Own at BCV but would like to try Old Key West.

We would need One studio for 8/12 & 8/13 for me, DH & DS#3 then two studios for 8/14 (DS#1 & DS#2 join us) and then move to a 2 bedroom on Sunday 8/15 with departure date of Friday 8/20.

How hard is it to get into OKW in August at the 7 month window?
Should I wait or see if someone would be interested in transferring points (trading bcv for okw)? I would be using 230 points for this reservation?

Comments, ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think you would have an issue getting availability in August at the 7 mo window. We've booked studios, one bedrooms, and two bedrooms with as little as 4 months for August, 4 weeks for May, and 2 months for January - including New Year's Day.

I just booked a studio last week for Dec. 14-18 so I don't think you should have a problem with August.
