We are also looking at booking the Pirate Adventure for my sons at GF. We need to be there at 9.15, what time would we need to set off.

Thanks

are you driving or taking the bus?

driving you can get there in around 30 minutes.

bus I would say an hour - you would need to transfer to the monrail and go almost completely around it.

or hop on the boat to go directly to the GF boat dock--where you'll need to be anyway for the PC

So take the bus to MK and then the boat?

I was thinking Disney Transport but I'd forgotten that we are not flying this time so I could drive them.

Thanks

drive them - but remember you have the longest walk from the self parking than at any of the resorts.

that is why it takes 30 minutes - you can get to the resort in 15 to 20 minutes - but it takes a while to walk up there.

Buses run too slowly in the morning....

Calll the night before, at the valet desk, and make a reservation to take a taxi one way. Will be approx $15, but will totally allieviate the stress.

Then, while kids at cruise, make a reservation at the GF cafe, and have a leisurely coffee / breakfast. Bring a book, or talk to partner ;)

Afterwards, take monorail or boat to MK... (and go ride POTC, and buy more pirate junk!)

Goldi

Bring a jacket for child on Boat, because colder weather coming, and they are on the water (i.e. colder).

Bring camera to take pics of kids with life preserver on, and mouse ears pirate (Aye matee).... and when they get back pics of their treasure.....

I agree with Pat...allow 30 minutes which should be more than enough. But take a left out of OKW and then a right on Bonnet Creek Parkway. Take a left at the road toward FW. Follow signs for MK resorts then GF as you will make another right, left, right and right. Oh, I wish I were making that drive right now!

Once at the GF, one of you can walk your sons to the dock while the other parks.

I agree with Goldi that a nice breakfast at GF Cafe is a wonderful way to pass your time. You can also explore the grounds and shops.

Thanks for the advice, I'll add it to my file, our trip is in March so I'll remember sweaters, camera etc etc.

It sounds like a great time for the boys to have fun and for my DH and I to have that precious lone time. We were not able to book it for our August trip but there's space this time.

Can't wait.
