OKW advice/help

Friends,

Heading down to OKW for our first visit home. Wanted to get a 1BR, non smoking, close to the main pool. Does anyone know my choices or have any advice.

the main pool is still having the slide added - sometime in Jan is all I have heard as a completion date.

I would go for near Turtle Pond's

if you still want near the main pool - 11 - 14, and the building with elevators 62-64 are both close.

Forgot to mention were going in the summer so the main pool will be open.

Good point about the pool. I have room reports from OKW, and people in 1 BRs in buildings 14, 16, and 62 mentioned being near the main pool. I'm heading to WDW tomorrow morning, hoping to get some more info on an opening date for the pool.

Buildings 23-28 are all within walking distance to the main pool, too.

I've stayed at OKW every visit since December 1999, and I've stayed multiple times in 1BRs. They are HUGE and very comfortable. We also have stayed in the 2BRs, which are basically a 1BR with a studio that you access from the 1BR through "lockout" doors. Most OKW 2BR units are lockouts, but the soundproofing that the doors provide is excellent. You might be aware that other guests are staying in the studio next to you if you're in a 1BR, but you can't hear their conversations.

I'm spoiled to the point that I really don't want to stay in a studio anymore!

We stayed in building 26 on our last trip to OKW. It was a short walk to HH/main pool area. there was also a bus stop right next to our building. It was very convenient.

I was in bldg 62 this past November and it was a short walk across Peninsular Road to the pool and HH.
We had a great view of a small lake and even Illuminations from our balcony too.
