Day three MGM Studios

Started out late today because DS 1 got a stomach bug during the night,
throwing up only, but when I heard him there was a sinking feeling in my
stomach that the vacation was now down the tubes. Ends up by 12:00 he
was fine and no one else got sick the rest of the week. Luck was smiling upon us. Wanted to get to MGM because we had the Fantasmic dinner package later that day, and didn't want to miss that because the park was packed. Walked in and went straight to Star Tours, line was to long but
Muppets was starting the next show and walked in, with those crowds that day what was up with that? Anyway show was cute, and the boys really liked it, from there decided to walkaround and wait for the parade to get good
seats. Asked a CM in Star Tours where a good place to sit was, and she said
a bench with a brass strip in front of it because know one could get in front of you. Walked back by Indy Jones and found one believe or not, parked family on it and threatened them not to move, and off I went to get them snacks. 30 minutes later I returned with french fries and drinks, just as the parade was getting ready to start. It was the Holiday version , and was really cute especially with front row seats :D . After the parade, went to
see what the line was for Great Movie Ride and it was broken down :guilty:
But what do I see CM running back inside, yelled for the boys to get over by
me and they magically opened it right then, we were first tram through. So far luck is on our side today, Maybe a makeup for last nights :crazy2: episode. Went on the ride, really liked it , but if I had waited 2 hours for
it maybe not as much. Booked it over to Hollywood and Vine for Ps immediately seated and had a great dinner, made even greater because we
did not have to wait in the massively huge line for fantasmic :wizard: Would
reccomend this to everyone if going at a busy time. After we got out of
Fantasmic which by the way was awesome, hit Star Tours which DS 2 as well
as DH is a huge fan of Star Wars which they loved. Then went to Osbourne Lights which for some reason was not packed at all. We loved the lights and
the boys loved the snow, we had to drag them out of there or would of stayed all night :jumping4: . Walked around a few more minutes then decided to head back to the resort, because tomorrow was Universal and IOA
which I won't report on here, but had a lot of fun, especially Spiderman :charac4: ride and MIB Macy's Holiday parade was also a lot of fun.
Coming up Day 5 I can't believe the crowds at Magic Kingdom!!!!

Sounds like with some planning you were able to manage with the crowds - thanks for posting

but I really love Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic pkg....I think we do that one each visit to MGM........thanks so much for your trip report and today sounds like a great day for all of you

How was the food at Hollywood and Vine? DD5 and I are doing a mommy and me trip in June and I was trying to decide which restaurant for the package would be better. thanks.

We enjoyed H&V, they had a great selection of food, the boys loved the
kid food, and a wonderful dessert area. We are going back later this year and
are planning to book this again. :D
