The Okies
Me 33 Loves to plan and have fun
DH 34 Firefighter along for the ride
DS1 8 Loves to plan too
DS2 5 Happy just to be here
DAY 2
Boys are up and at them early to see the animals outside our balcony, who
needs a wakeup call when you have two boys yelling giraffes, zebras and
what are those mom, MOM WAKE UP MOM.
We are at AK by 9 and on K. Safari with only a 20 minute standby wait, no
fastpasses needed here. Boys loved it and rode it 2 more times through the
week, saw a lot of amimals ,Tarzan Rocks, Q and C vouchers at FlameTree BBQ, kids AK vouchers too(Great Value). Boys loved the park, but it started to get packed and boys didnt want to wait in line 45 minutes to meet characters, and since we were coming back on NYE day we decided to leave
some stuff for that day.
On to Epcot, Caught the bus and off we go, We met DSis and Dniece and her
MIL at the Garden Grill for the Ice Cream Social. This was a fun event, and
a lot less expensive than other character meals.
After we ate went to
the Living Seas, Honey I Shrunk the Audience, a lot of little kids screaming in that one including my niece. I still think her head print is in my shoulder.
They decided to so back to their hotel and we headed to the World Showcase after we saw that Test Track had a 145 minute wait,
maybe later in the week. Walked around watched a few acts and got to our
PS and Rose and Crown at 7:40, asked for patio, but there was not a lot of
seating out there since it was so cold ,so inside. Husband had Steak and I had Fish and Chips. We asked our server about the priority seating for Illuminations, and she said to have a dessert and take our time, because she was really pooped and would love for us to be her last table. Had the apple
crisp YUM, and boys and King Sundae, she then took us to the seating area and the boys were right on the rail, and this was great since people were stacked 6 deep around the lagoon. There is so much to be said about this show. Wow what a wonderful thing to see, especially with the Holiday ending. We all left Epcot with a smile on our face.
