I'm holding in my hand the latest prototype version of the PinPics for PalmOS software, which allows certain hardware owners to view pin PICTURES as well as information on their handheld devices.
The pictures are full color for devices which support color.
Check this out:
The picture database is huge (32mb) and therefore can only be stored on devices capable of that amount of storage. I'm not aware of any Palm units with that much RAM, but we currently support HandSpring devices with a MemPlug module for holding a SmartMedia or Compact Flash card.
My adorable DW will be bringing the prototype unit to the pin event at WDW next week. Isn't this fun?
All of this is, of course, free. Too bad the devices aren't.
Oh, and there will be some good news soon for owners of PocketPC devices. I don't want to say any more at this point and spoil the fun, but someone stepped forward to tackle this challenge and I'll let him tell it if he reads this board.
