Okay, who ate at the Three Broomsticks or visited the pub?

Thank you for the pics! That must have been great having the place almost to yourself!

Just back from WWoHP. I'm gonna post everywhere w/pics, so here goes:

We spent 3 days there. Didn't even plan on 3 Broomsticks because I assumed it was for those only with the HP hotel package but when we got inside on Tuesday, June 1 at 10:30 AM they were literally begging us to eat there. I mean, asking us 3 different ways, are you hungry? Would you like a continental breakfast? Don't you want to come in?

Hey! I know the blonde on the right. :cool2:

I love black pudding!
They still have it, but sadly they have switched from the white pudding to regular breakfast sausages. I had white ones the first time we ate there, but it's been regulars the last two times. Oh well, hopefully the black pudding is there to stay.

Three Broomsticks finally opened for lunch today. Had the Shepherd's Pie. Slightly more reasonably priced than breakfast, but nowhere near as good. Very, very dry, seemed like instant potatoes on top, nowhere near the quality of Finnigans or Raglan Road. Came with a bland side salad that was iceberg lettuce, carrots, two slices each of tomato and cucumber, and some out of the package croutons (oh, and a packet of Ken's dressing--can't serve Coke, but we can offer up packets of ranch dressing).

Atmosphere remains amazing, but you can get that with a drink at Hogs Head, then go eat at the much better (and not much pricier) Mythos.

There's really no one behind us.

Menu is brightly lit up.

Follow the line and in the window on your left is a display of real food. Sorry, in low light I didn't change the camera settings.

The kids had the adult pancake breakfast split. DH had the continental breakfast which was mostly fruit. He was still queasy from the Dueling Dragons ride.

Thank you! You just answered my question as to whether 3 broomsticks has a vegetarian. egg-free breakfast option. :)

I'm kind of bummed it doesn't look like there are any vegetarian lunch entrees, though!

Butterbeer Souveiner is $8.50 ($9.50 frozen)
Refills are $2.29 (3.29 frozen) (same price as the 12 oz cup)

here are the main courses at 3b

I can probably snag a picture of it tomorrow if HP is open to the General Public. Hopefully I'll remember.

I ate at Three Broomsticks on Saturday, had the soup/salad combo since I wasn't hungry. Salad tasted like bagged salad, though it wasn't too bad tasting. They gave me bread with the soup which was tasty. I chose the potato leek soup which didn't look appetizing (weird color, looked lumpy) but it tasted alright, but not something I'd have again.

The portions for everything else looked huuuge.

Anyone know if they have wetnaps for finger lickin ribs?

Know our group will get messsssyyyyyyy :rolleyes1

Don't recall seeing any--they certainly didn't give them out. (Although things can change--frozen butterbeer now comes with a plastic spoon-straw).

BTW, had the chicken and ribs over the weekend, better than the Shepherd's Pie by far.

Thanks ^

We'll be doing the family feast meal....guess I'll put a few wet wipes in my pocket.

As for the spoon/straw...guess it's just one other thing the soft openings are teaching them.:confused3

Has anyone had the pasties? I grew up eating these, so am always interested in how they taste/turn out in different areas of the country.

I got the fish and chips kids meal. Comes with grapes. Got pumpkin juice to drink and

EVERYONE GET THE CHOCOLATE TRIFLE! GET IT! It's SO delicious and both TMs I talked to at Three Broomsticks told me it was their favorite thing there! I won't get to post pictures for a few days, but it's pretty to look at too! My whole meal was around 12.20 for Kids meal, Chocolate Trifle, and Pumpkin Juice. Left very full and for cheaper than many of the normal meals there.

oh, and the corn on the cob looked appetizing. I liked the way they cooked them. =]

has anyone had the free breakfast that is included when you book a vacation package? what is included? do you get a choice? any drink?

Thanks!

We just returned from Universal. So happy they had the butterbeer mugs. We ate at the Three Broomsticks and none of us liked the food. I had the pasties (3 small bland pasties with bland salad.) The ribs and chicken and corn were not that great either. Butterbeer was wonderful. I am glad we had the experience of eating at the three broomsticks but would never eat there again. Mythos is much better.

I'm hoping that the chicken is as good as that at Thunder Falls Terrace. We always enjoy it particular since this is just counter service.

I see that the linked review praised the fish... Another possibility.
