I just saw the new hours for WDW the weeks around Easter..Don't know how long they have been changed. The last time I looked the hours had been decreased by a lot! Extra parades again, etc. YAAAA

All I can say is holy moly! I guess bookings aren't looking so bad after all!

MK Hours:
4/14 - 4/15 9AM-11PM (Spectro 9PM)
4/16 - 4/17 8:30AM - Midnight (Spectro 9PM & 11PM)
4/18 - 4/19 8:30AM - 11PM (Spectro 9PM & 11PM)
4/20 - 4/24 8:30AM - Midnight (Spectro 9PM & 11PM)

for bringing this to my attention! I must have been asleep too! Wow. They REALLY extended the hours. I'm so happy now! YAY!!!Looks like we will be there at the same time Pooh!!! Have a great trip!

WOW! MK till midnight on Tues. the 22nd! Someone just made my teenagers very happy boys! Now if only us "old folk" can stay awake long enough to keep up!!!

Thanks for the heads up!!!:Pinkbounc
Looks like they are listening to us!!:Pinkbounc
Now I can go back to our plans for Wed and Thurs.....
But they need to bring back the fireworks and Spectro over the weekend of April 26 !:D

Thanks poohbear2 for the wake up call!
I am so glad to see MK until midnight!! We have always gone at Easter and always had MK until midnight, so I am happy to see it again!! YEAH!!! Can't wait!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

That just totally made my day!!!!!!! :smooth: :smooth:

But, on the other hand, does that mean huge crowds are expected now?? Is that why they changed the hours again??

Hip hip Horaaaayyyyy!!!!! Finally...a happy thread!! This is awesome!!! We will be there during the week of Easter. Longer hours and Spectromagic everyday and Fireworks too! Maybe the crowds won't be too bad now that some of the days are till midnight. :bounce: :bounce:

I won't get into details, but I'm a journalist who handled the travel beat at one time for a mid-sized metro daily paper. A couple of years back, I did a Business Page report on WDW operations. These folks are abolute MASTERS at matching hours to projected attendance. What was completely obvious to me (both as a reporter and long-time visitors) after I did that particular srtory, was that a lot of the "back & forth" about the best and worst times to go ( Easter, July and XMas week notwithstanding) is a bit of a wasted exercise. They know how to move people. They know (believe me) within 500 to 1500 how many people to expect at each park on a given day as much as 15 days in advance. The computer models they use to do these projections are not only fascinating, but based on 25-plus years of historical data. They take everything from airline and hotel booking, long-term weather forcast, economic condition and geo-political conditions into account.

The result of all this blabbering I just did? You can see (quite precisely) by watching the posted hours of operation how the crowds will be. If they're staying open until midnight, it WILL be CROWDED.

Thanks so much for posting!:Pinkbounc I had no idea the change in hours. For once it's a good change.;)

AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!! :earseek:

I have to totally redo our schedule now, lol. I just checked the other day and they were NOT this late. Very cool - and I'm very glad you posted so I can rearrange things now and not sitting in Orlando! :D

Oh yes!! Now all I have to do is keep our DGD awake till those hours. Grandpa & her can always go back to hotel while my DS(11) & I spend some time together.
