...when you're writing or speaking sentances and stuff and find that more often than usual you're putting the wrong words in here and there?

Too tired? (I have been staying up late a lot lately)
Too much sugar? (Not that I've been having much)
Something I should be worried about?

Things like in an earlier thread I put "identify someone" instead of "notify someone". And yesterday I spent 20 minutes trying to come up with a specific word that was on the tip of my tongue. Never did remember that word but found something that worked.

So... is it most likely just too tired, or should I be worried and go ask the Dr?

I think you are too tired - and maybe overfocusing on articulating yourself - this happens to me a lot.

You mind is focused, understandibly, elsewhere

I wouldn't worry about it Rajah. You've been under a lot of stress and changes in the past month. I know that even on my best days i sometimes mix-up words or forget entirely what i want to say. Try not to worry about getting everything right. PPl will most likely know what you are saying even if you don't have all the right words. Once things are better for you it'll most likely pass. I hope this helps.

I do that all the time......................I rack it up to too many 'drinks' in college.....................

Or that my 16 month old has kept us up all night..............

I wouldn't worry about it, but that's just me..............

Tammi, have you been to the doctor yet about those medicines you were asking about? This is one of the symptoms I had, not being able to concentrate and focus on what I was doing or trying to say.

Stress!! It is amazing what simple stree can do to your everyday functioning!!

I also agree with Laurie though, check on those meds.

{{{HUGS}}}

Personally I call it peri-menopause but I believe you're a little young.;)

Stress, lack of sleep or a combinations of medications may be the cause.

Lanshark -- LOL! Yeah, I hope so, anyway. ;)

Okay, general consensus seems to be too tired and stressed. Thanks everyone.

Serena -- yes, I'm now on double the dose of nortriptyline I was taking before, and it's definitely made a difference for me. But I'm still having trouble coming up with the right words, and that's not common for me.

Just wanted to give you a  and say the more stressed I am, the more I seem to forget as well... it does get better over time :)
