This is going to sound really  , but how do you shave you legs in your third trimester??

Something that popped into my head as I shaved this morning...

I've known people who have had their dh shave them. personally, even when carrying the twins I never had a problem. maybe because I have a couple of raised areas along my shower that I could put my foot on. however, I'll say my interest in shaving waned. I could do it, but had no desire to. granted, I was in my 3rd trimester both pregnancies in the dead of winter. I'm also blonde and my hair is light and not very heavy.

Hmm...well, it was quite a while ago, but it seems to me that I just shaved them myself. I was always more comfortable in dresses than in pants so I kinda had to shave them. I don't remember it being a problem.

My biggest problem was rolling out of a waterbed. Several times in the middle of the night. I was like a big ole beached whale!

I was in the third trimester during the height of summer through all three of my pregnancies (2 Sept. babies and 1 Oct. baby), so I had to shave. I always just shaved in the shower with my leg propped up on the side of the tub. It got a little difficult at the very end, but I could always get up right past my knee with no problem.

I never had any trouble shaving during my 3rd trimester either, I just didn't do it that often since my daughter was born February 26, so I was able to wear pants.

I too was in my 3rd trimester during summer. I never had any problems shaving. I just had to sit down and prop my leg up on something. Couldn't really bend over and do it. :p

I had my husband do it but I could have done it on my own. I'm just lazy and it was a good excuse to have him do it for awhile. I figured I was carrying several pounds of his child, he can shave my legs. ;)

I did. It was a little hard balancing and bending over, but I did it. My leg hair grew very slowly during pregnancy and I only needed to shave about once a week. I did have my husband help with with...um...other areas.

Well, I am in my 3rd trimemster and I do it myself. However, I usually wax...so can I just say..I HATE shaving. Yuck.
I usually lift my leg up as far as possible and balnace. But good luck.

I was very small with both babies so I did it myself. I don't think I would want my husband shaving my legs. Imagine the nics ouch:scared:

I shaved my legs myself. DD was a December baby and putting on panty hose was another story - what a pain!!!

I'm there right now (see countdown) and a girlfriend recommended the Schick Intuition razor. It's the new one with the razor imbedded in the shaving soap so you don't have to use shaving cream or anything - just one step. It works like a dream!

And I'm as big as a house right now, so it can definitely be done!
;)

I did it myself. I propped my leg up on the side of the tub just like I do now... it never occured to me that one might not be able to to shave their legs when pregnant. Can you put your shoes on?

LOL! I don't know if I'll be able to put my shoes on or not (I imagine I will, since they all slide on; no bending required!) This was just something I thought about while standing in my 3' by 4' shower stall this morning. The logistics seemed a bit fuzzy to me. So I thought, well, the DIS will be able to tell me! :teeth:

Uh, I didn't! Actually I did sit on the edge of the tub and prop one leg up on the other side of the tub the last day I went to work because I was wearing a cute dress. The next day, I went for my 36 week appt, and ended up having a c-section that night. With baby #1, I hadn't shaved them because it was winter, went to the hospital because DH forced me, I'd had a horrible backache all night, baby's heart quit beating while I was on the monitor, had an emergency c-section 15 minutes later and no one cared about my hairy legs at that point, not even me!

I shaved my legs and also painted my toenails. Now, I did wear 2 different types of shoes one day. They were both slides.

:rotfl:

That sounds so much like something I would do! I have painted my toenails and DD's this summer, but I think I'm going to just get a pedicure this weekend since I don't do a really great job even when I can easily reach my feet.
