Okay - surely there is ""something" you like about winter..

I'll start..

Once I get over grumbling about having to leave the lake, I love the first big snowstorm..

There needs to be snow for me to derive any excitement over Christmas shopping..

I need "one" snowstorm that has us "snowed in" for a couple of days..

It must be snowing on the day that my DGD and I do our annual Christmas cookie baking marathon..

I want snow on Christmas Eve - and up until 11:59 p.m. on Christmas Day..

After that I'm "good" till the following winter..

I love a nice big snow storm as long as we don't have to leave the house. So cozy!! Snow on Christmas is magical.

I also love wearing boots and sweaters and Chrsitmas shopping and hot chocolate and seeing my kids playing in the snow. I actually kind of like winter


Of course, it is 85 degrees right now so ask me again in February!

Winter is my favorite season, maybe it is because I was born during a large ice/snow storm but I love it. From the clothes- hats, scarves, sweaters, boots- and I love that first magical snow fall of the season. It is like the world changes that day and everything becomes quiet.

I love the cold and love the winters here in Atlanta. Not a lot of snow but nice chilly days.

Hang on........I guess my favorite thing about winter is the fact that I can get on a plane & be down at my nice Florida condo or my WDW DVC in 2 1/2 hours!

Winter is fine as long as I can go...in other words---NO SNOW! I really think it is pretty but I do not like staying at home. Thankfully I have helpful neighbors who have snow blowers.

I think it is depressing to older people. My 87 yr old friend already told me she's dreading winter. I told her I would get her out.

We'll be spending Christmas in Florida this year & I'm so excited.

In WDW from Dec. 19 - 24 with my brother. Heading to our condo (where my parents also own) with my brother for Christmas. My 2 sisters & their families are meeting us in Florida on Dec. 26. My parents are so excited that all their kids & grandchildren will be there together.

We don't head home until January 11!!!!!!! Sometimes there are perks to owning your own business! DH & I are headed back to our condo & WDW on February 20 for another week while my business is closed.

That's what I like about winter. Getting the heck away from the northern weather!

The think I love best about winter: being in Texas. We get cool/cold days, but it's not usually too miserable for too long. I love hot drinks:coffee, tea, hot chocolate. I LOVE to sleep in the winter. Lots of heavy blankets and a cold room make for perfect sleeping conditions.

Where I live snow is just a given - and last winter it seemed like it would never end......

BUT we had some of the best times - the roads were so bad some weekends that we stayed in the house and really spent time as a family - movies, games, snacks - great memories with a teen that is sometimes to busy for his mom

DH and I like to ski early in the season when everyone else is busy doing Christmas shopping and such. We get the midweek pass for Bretton Woods but it is good every day including weekends until Christmas week. We get our fill by Martin Luther King day and head to Vero Beach until late May or early June.

I like winter but get tired of it around February. I started snowshoeing and snow hiking a couple of years ago and that is a lot of fun, especially at night during a full moon if there is snow on the ground. It is so bright.

I also really like running outside in the winter. Right around Christmas going on a 2 hour run to look at Christmas lights is a lot of fun...for me at least.

I have no desire to do any downhill skiing but keep telling myself I will try cross country skiing. Maybe this winter will be the year.

I lived for a couple of years in FL and missed having the seasons, even winter.

I love everything about winter. I love watching the rain, ( when we get it ) I love my baking and shopping. I could not find the other thread for fall. I hate changing the time and I dont do halloween.

I love the cold rainy days of winter. It snowed for a day and it stuck around for a few days. It was awesome! Sadly my son didn't thinks so!

I love snow--even when we used to get snowed in with so much in the mountains of Colorado and in rural NH. I am not so fond of shoveling it, but it is worth it to see all those pretty white flakes. I get so depressed when we have the cold (and wind) without snow.

I totally love winter ... NOW!!! Why, because I am in sunny Southern California!!!! Moved here two years ago from Boston!!! Bring it on!!!

The only thing I like about winter is that it really makes me appreciate all the other seasons. Without winter, I might get bored of warm weather.

I will say last winter was AWESOME here! I doubt it will happen again though.
