Okay - surely there is ""something" you like about winter..

I would MUCH rather have snowy, cold, freezing weather then super humid, sticky, & hot!...ha

I could handle the cold and actually like snow when it's fresh and pretty, but I just can't handle all the DARK!!!!! It just brings me down every year. It gets worse and worse.
I NEED THE SUN!!!

There is plenty I enjoy about winter, but I'm done with it by March.

I love ice fishing and skating on the lake. I love walking in the woods in the winter with my dogs. I love to go for walks during a snow storm. I enjoy a nice big outdoor fire in the winter. Hopefully the old snowmobile my son got at the end of winter last year will run and we will also enjoy snowmobiling this year. Oh and I love being able to drive a car on the lake (when it's safe of course);)

Nope, not one thing. If I never saw another snowflake in my entire life I would be OK with it!

Hang on........I guess my favorite thing about winter is the fact that I can get on a plane & be down at my nice Florida condo or my WDW DVC in 2 1/2 hours!

I'm with you! Check out my countdown. Hopefully this will be my last year to see any snow.

Same here, except my travel time is 2 hours!

Winter is good because I can hide under big bulky sweater. :lmao:

Love that we have seasons like someone said, do hate the cold but love to shovel snow if it is not to heavy and up to my knees, go figure.

This is Maine- winter could start any minute here and will most likely last until about May 1st.

I like the Christmas Season- don't even mind some snow in December- but then I'm done. I hate having to drive on the slippery roads. The cold air makes me break out in hives so skiing, snowmobiling and skating, not possible for me.

I love winter - favorite season, hands down. My allergies are gone, the weather turns nice and cold, and I don't have to mow the lawn!

Serisouly - I hate summer. I would gladly take an extra month of snow to avoid days with a heat index of 110, where the air feels like soup and you can barely breathe. Give me a nice, crisp day, a brisk wind and a wind chill down around 0, and I am happy indeed. Good running weather, too.

Christmas. That's it. I hate the cold, I hate the snow (what little we get down here). Thank goodness winter is relatively short down here although when we retire I'd like to become snowbirds and move down to Florida from November through April. :)

I hate the slippery roads too. The cold/dry air bothers my sinuses and my skin.

Ugh, I hate everything about it. Cold and the lack of sunlight really bother me and I'm miserable all winter. I can't wait to retire and become a snowbird. :lmao:

I LOVE snowstorms. They are soooo pretty and I even like driving in them. I have 4 wheel drive so my car can handle it and if I wait for everyone else to leave work / school early I usually can have the road practically to myself. Oh, and the feeling of breathing in the clean, cold air into my lungs makes me feel so alive. I love that feeling. I also love winter foods. You know, all summer you grill and eat fruits and veggies out of the garden, but in the winter you get to cook inside and make hearty meals and homemade soups. I love to bake too. We are just getting into the cooler weather and already I have baked a couple of pies and apple crisp. You can't do that when it's 90 degrees outside. In the summer I feel guilty if I stay inside on a nice day / evening. So long as it is nice out and still light out I try to be outside. In the winter I can wrap up in a blankie and snuggle on the couch with a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate and watch movies. Really, even though a nice hot summer is my favorite, I love all the seasons and can find something in each of them that I can look forward to.

I love winter-I love every season as they change and are in full swing. As the seasons wind down, I am ready to move to the next one. There is nothing as magical as the first real snowfall of the season. I love the stillness in the air during a snowfall. As a kid we would spend hours playing in the snow. We haven't had a good blizzard in years though-I think it is time :lmao:.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, shoveling snow is an AWESOME calorie burner! We own a snowblower but I strongly prefer to shovel by hand and reap the benefits. It's a great workout!

Sorry, C.Ann, there is nothing I like about winter. I love warm, sunny days and don't mind heat or humidity. I prefer that to the biting winter winds and icy streets.

I wish we got snow here in FL but no dice.

I love the decorations, the colors, the lights, the weather, the cookies, the family (okay, only certain family...), and most importantly, the real reason I personally celebrate Christmas. :)

I like being inside my warm house when it's cold outside and the snow is falling. Seeing the snowflakes fall from the bay window in our family room. Curling up on the couch with a warm quilt, a good book, and a steaming mug of coffee or hot chocolate. Lighting a scented candle or two and enjoying the warm glow. Snow for the holidays. Building snowmen with my grandchildren. Having more time for indoor things (as opposed to summer when their is grass to cut, flowers to tend, gardening, etc.) like organizing photos in albums, cleaning out closets/drawers, etc. Being able to pick and choose which days I get out of the house, if the weather is bad I stay home. It's great not having to drive on bad roads if I choose not to!! And we usually take a winter vacation in January too. :goodvibes Usually go somewhere warm, either to Florida or a cruise.
