The truth that is... We went last year August 15th to the 22nd and yes it was crowded but not unbearable, in fact I thought that Easter week 2003 was WAY WORSE!!(never again)

This year we are going August 3rd to the 12th( before our AP's expire...and yes we got a great AP rate). How bad will the crowds be?

My plan is hit the parks early, go back and nap or swim, then return to parks for nighttime fun...Is this reasonable this week?

Yes! Your plan will get you into the parks when they're least busy (early), out when its hot to rest and relax and then back when the fun nightime stuff is going on.

You'll manage crowds best that way and SUPERSIZE your fun.

Yes, I agree.

I went to DW Aug. 1 - 8 2002 and followed the same schedule you have planned. It worked out great for us. When the rain did come it just happened to be when we were back at the hotel so it didn't bother us that much. Have a great time!
