So okay its Friday and do you all know what today is? Yes you are correct it’s the first day that Peter Noone along with Herman’s Hermits do their first opening gig at the Epcot flower and garden event.

Now I’m to young to remember Herman’s Hermits, and even if I wasn’t I would deny it.

But you all know June Ford well June is Peter’s #1 fan I mean #1 fan-antic. She does love the man and the band, why she was a Hermits groupie long before she a Scoopie. She was a devoted fan why in 1969 parts of her clothing ended up on stage!!! I missed the whole thing as I was at Woodstock with my mom and dad except back then they were called Mother moonbeam and Captain Acid… Oh and me I was called psychedelic tamale. Yes while June was stripping to Mrs. Brown you’ve got a lovely daughter, we were jamming with Jimmy Hendricks to purple haze… Two cultures one common bond… Pin trading.

We Peter if your reading this, She has pledge us all to be there all 4 days and all 3 of your performances per day of your gig. Now normally this would be okay, but this is me we are talking about and I don’t idle well at all, so I thought hmmmm June needs recognition for being Peters #1 fan right?

So I am making it my personal challenge to try to get Ms June on stage with Mr. Peter Noone Disney rules be dammed. But I will settle for at least June being recognized as the #1 fan, but the stage is what I’m shooting for.

So if your going to the Flower and Garden show and want to experience the Eddie Magic first hand, please join us at the Americas stage in America during any of Peters performances and see what I’m up too.

Unless June tells me let it go I will try my best to get these two together. No not like that… I’m not a pimp… I was but that’s was a long time ago and I was only acting the part you all might remember me I played Huggy Bear on Berretta, and I used a lot of makeup.

So June I say we go for it flower child, and to the rest of you this is an open invitation to join us at the show, but please ladies keep your clothes on.

Mission acomplished that was easy, and Peter Noone is a really nice guy loves to break Disney rules, I really like him and he's almost as funny as I am (almost):teeth:

Yup, all of us stuck up here in the northern hinterlands, far away from our favorite place on the planet, want details!
:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Oh, and pictures, too, if there are any! (Of course you documented this event... right?
:smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth: :smooth:

So fill us in on how you accomplished your mission... it's sad, but true... we gotta live vicariously through you!

yup, can hardly wait! Oh, the aaaaaaaaaagony of anticipation! ;)

Okay, okay... so life is kinda pathetic right now...

At least the weather here in Toronto today is stunningly beautiful (at least for the time being! Who knows what will develop later this afternoon.) The weather guys were calling for rain all day today (this was yesterday and last night) - just in time for the first-ever jazz festival in our neighborhood. Hey, Donna, remember the Gooderham & Worts distillery, makers of Canadian Club whisky? Yup, that's where we live! :smooth:

Brian's out being a Nerd today, so it was a "girls" day out - while walking back to our condo, Kellie told me "Mommy, it's almost like a Disney day today!" Ah, out of the mouths of babes... ;)

Eagerly awaiting the film at 11!

Sandy (and Bonnie & Kellie... since Brian's not here, it's just us girls this time!) :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

OK, so maybe I am now dated, although I was a little kid when they were
really big, but I was a HIP little kid, OK? I sw them at WDW some tears
back when Disney was doing this thing called Blast From the Past. Does
anybody remember those special nights? They had all kinds of great
oldie groups like the Guess Who and Grass Roots, Herman, etc. It really
WAS a blast. Wish I could be there to see them now, but I will have to be
content knowing that Ed and Donna get to have all the fun for us!

um, sorry to have to correct ya here, but Huggy Bear was on "Starsky and Hutch"... unless, of course, there was a crossover episode or two? ;)

But I'm still looking forward to the film at 11! ;)

Sandy (yeah, yeah, I know way too much trivia about TV shows and movies...)

Not a huge fan, but in June's honor, I thought I would get everyone to sing along:

I'm Enery the eighth I am,
Enery the eighth I am I am.
I got married to the widow next door.
She's been married seven times before....

(come on....I can't hear you....)

And every one was an Enery (Enery)
she wouldn't take a Willy or a Sam (or a Sam!)
And there ain't no man like Enery
Enery the eighth I am!

Enery...
Enery...

Enery the eighth I am I am
Enery the eighth I am!!

June, I hope he sang this for you! :teeth:

Just kidding Ed, I'm a few months older than you. I turned 40 in October 2002. But I still don't know who the Hermits are...

Was good to see ya again Ed...you too June & Bob & Manny & Michelle & Dana & Michael & kids...!!! Been too long...!!! :p

MaRiO?!? Youve gotta be kiddin'!!! Im in my early 20s & I know who Peter Noone & Hermans Hermits are!!!

Ed, and June,
Were you at the first show on Saturday? Richie's daughter was walking down the aisle to take Peter's photo and he grabbed her and her camera and took her picture with him. Then my sister who was a huge Herman's Hermit fan went down the aisle to get his photo and he brought her up to the stage and sat down next to her to sing. She was in heaven.
They both tried to get one of the CD's he was giving away but he never made it up to our area and they ran too slow.
I am still here, haven't done any pin stuff at all but I asm having a blast. The weather is wonderful and the pools are great.
I will check in every once in a while but we were supposed to stay at my sister's house for this week and it is too far from the parks. I booked anoter 4 days at Old Key West today and we won't have computers till the weekend. Hope I can make it to the meet on Friday, I have missed two Friday's already. Peggie

The story as told by I’m HENRY the 8th I am, Henry the 8th I am I am.

You see June loves Peter Noone, I mean she loves Bob and us, but she LOVVVVVVEES Peter Noone. And if you had been there, you would have seen women in there 40’s 50’s 60’s, and yes even 70’s that all LOVVVEEEEDDDDD Peter Noone.

Calling themselves the Noone-attics they travel the world going to his concerts, we got there three hours before the show started, and these women were there and had been there in the front row some since 7:00 AM. They stayed until the last show and vowed to be back in the morning.

One of the younger Noone-attics claimed she would do this until he came to his senses and married her. There by causing her to carry her wedding gown where ever she went.

Now my two cents on this Peter Noone guy and the band named Herman’s Hermits… I loved them and I thought he was great, he was funny, and not a bad mover for a guy in his 50’s, very funny actually, and the music was still in with it you might say.

Here is the best part… He loves his fans; he leaves the stage even after Disney told him not to I’m sure because they hate it when they do that! He leaves the stage and goes into the audience takes pictures shakes hands. A real top class type of guy.

But on to my mission.

So this is what I did on my first day I wanted more than a simple wave and autograph from Peter I wanted recognition for June from Peter or a stage opportunity… well the stage thing was a no go Disney made sure of that for sure, but the recognition was a go, I had made up a bunch of signs that said various things like “In Peter we trust” “Peter I’m June your #1 fan” and “I remember your leather pants”

June saw the signs and went slightly ballistic, she said these were old people and would not let me do it… But since the women in front of me had, flags, banners, records, *underwear*, and signs, I figured my little signage would not be a problem. *underwear was to be used to toss on stage, but we later learned that Disney asked fans not to toss underwear as this was a family park.

I was good (yea right) and since he sang right in front of us (we were in the second row mind you) He got some good sign shots, he smiled and laughed a few times, and at the end of the show he came down and wanted to know if I was June… You see I made the signs to point to June but we moved around so much that the sign was pointing to me most of the time, I got a chance to correct this and showed him who June was, she then got up next to him for a t-shirt signing, and a photo op, and a good time was had by all…

Day one mission accomplished, June got recognition, I became a Noone-attics, I got a CD and Signed mind you, and the best line of the evening.

Peter Noone quoted, “Yes women used to toss me underwear all the time… They still do its just that they’ve gotten a lot bigger” Barump bump….

We just got back from a great weekend in WDW!!!

We were so glad to see everyone, we were having
withdrawls (this usually happens within 2 weeks from
our last visit!! We do not get to see everyone each
time we come up, but this time was great!!!

WELL, Herman's Hermits was just AWESOME!!! We
had so much fun with June and everyone!! We got
to sit inbetween June and Donna and they showed
us the moves to the songs!! I grew up knowing
Hermans Hermits and my mother adored him, so we
knew quite a few songs. I must say, I hope Liz is
reading this!!!! We are there for next year for sure
for the DAVEY JONES concerts also!!!! I wish
MICKEY DOLENZ would join him, how cool would that
be, MONKEES AND HERMANS HERMITS!!! I even
had my mom listening on Michelles cell phone, she
could not believe we really were there and let alone
our kids LOVED IT!!!

We had just a great time (as always)!!! We also,
posts to come, we had a living blast at the pool
with Manny, Michelle and Dylan (can we talk - WATER SLIDES!!!)

Also, I am still in "shock" over my 2 special pins that
I came home with!!!! Can we say SPECIAL PIN GODS!! I
really can not say THANK YOU enough times! Donna
we hope you had a great birthday and we look forward
to seeing all of you real soon!!!! Ok, so we started
counting down the days and minutes as soon as we
got home!!

Take Care and THANK YOU ALL AGAIN!!!!!!

Dana, Michael, Justin and Brittany

I just want everyone to know that I have the best time ever.
I have been a Noonatic for more years than I would like to
remember. Peter puts on a tremendous show and boy her really can still wear those black leather pants (right Donna). Thanks
to Ed, Peter was calling me by my name at the end of the first day. I even converted Donna & Ed and they will soon be joining the fan club.

Thank you very much Queen Leslie for that wonderful rendition of Henry VIII.

All I can say is I am very depressed that it is over. Oh well guess
I will have to look forward to our Disneyland trip next week and our suite with Donna & Ed. Bob & Ed will have to wear black
leather pants and sing Henry VIII for Donna & I.

Noonatic,
June
