I was just IM'ing one of my best friends. She thinks she's in love. She's been on like 4 dates with this guy, and she's talking about moving in and having babies. It's kind of bittersweet. I need my single friends to remain single!!!! Also, I worry about her cuz she moves a little too fast. She almost married this guy a few years ago that was a total loser. It was so obvious that she was just jumping at the first chance she got to get married. Now she admits that (she got lucky and he left her), but I still wonder about her judgement. So, I'm a little depressed about that. I'm going to have to hunt down some single GIRLfriends on Match.com before too long... they're becoming extinct!

Well this is discouraging. I was just on Match.com to see if I could find TigerBear's profile. Well, 14 pages of photos, and I never found it. But WHY is it that >50% of those women on there are gorgeous, and you'd be lucky to get 5 decent looking guys? So unfair.

Doc, my profile was only up for 2 weeks - last April. I have been dating my guy 7 months! I can PM you what I had in my profile if you are interested?

I did meet 2 other guys from match before I met my guy. I will say that both were more attractive than their pictures - one signficantly so. I thought he would be a dork, probably because he was a biochemist , but he turned out to be a player.

I was wondering which way is better. I thought I would have more control and weed out the less desirable ones by looking at the guys' photos and profiles rather than putting my photo and profile out there and not know what wacko is choosing me.

Doc, I know of only one single person my age. He's my karate instructor. Not one other adult single. OH! There is my dh's secretary, but then I have to fire her Monday ( ) and she's not girl friend material at all. Wow, I'm feeing pretty isolated now.

I agree, slim pickings in those people I actually know around here. One of my friends was telling me just the other day that she ran into one of the guys that used to be in our church's single parents' group with us. I remember back there somewhere he had married again. Well, she said that he's now married 8 years!!!!!!!! Where the heck did 8 years go? And why haven't I found Mr. Elusive during that time? It's discouraging.

PW, in that same vein I thought of you today. I had lunch with one of my best friends from childhood. My friend is a Captain in the Airforce, flies a F-15, and lives in Florida. The problem? She is a Mom! That gender thing getting in the way again.

Good evening guys!

Drove over to Orlando today with two of my friends. Bought my text books for this semester...credit card says ouch!!!

We then drove over to citywalk for lunch....when did parking go to $8...I thought it was $7...but then it has been awhile since I have been to US/IoA...but $8...that is crazy!!! Had lunch at Hard Rock. I had the yummiest herb marinated grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies and a sex on the beach (the drink ) had never had one of those before, it was very good, nice and fruity, the way I like my drinks.
