Hey Barry I live 45 min. from Six Flags, 2 1/2 hrs from Wis. Dells There have got to be nice single men out there somewhere that are not gay....... I refuse to give up hope.... I had a hot date last night - with my guy that I met on Match! We went out for Mexican and this morning he cooked me an omlet. It was his first time to make an omlet and it was actually quite good!! I will say that dating a man who cooks is a wonderful thing - I don't think my ex-h cooked for me once. Barry, are you listening? hint hint

Hi Guys

How you all doing? Sorry I haven't been on for a while, sad to say it's not because I met Mr Elusive!!

Did go out last weekend with my married friend and felt like a bloomin' spare part as she got chatted up by every guy there (well that's the way it seemed to me anyway !), then Sunday night went out and met a dead nice guy ..... he was very keen too ........ but ......... yep, ain't there always a but !! ....... he never called - ah well, ho hum. Had a great week with the kids being off school and had fun with them so that made up for the continual disappointment with the male species (sorry Barry - not all males of course!).

So, last night out again and did my spare part act again with the mate I went with chatting and 'stuff' with a guy she'd just met, luckily there were some male friends of mine there who were great and 'looked' after me - bless 'em (especially as my 'mate' - very loose term for her at the moment! decided to leave me there without even saying goodbye!! hmmm, I was not well pleased!).

Well, I'm off out again tonight, though not really in the mood I have to confess but have put my glad rags on and my smiling face and let's see what awaits!!

I've tried Match.Com, their UK bit, and I was completely demoralised didn't get any replies, only a 'wink' from a guy in mid-west USA (Hmm, bit far away methinks!!). I've tried other sites here in the UK and some have been excellent and I've met some great people. Good luck Pin Wizard.

Haven't been on in a bit, that new job, plus full time school is really cutting into my DISing time hehe!!

So as you guys know, I moved back to FL this past May after my relationship ended (what, you didn't know...aren't you guys keeping up? I mean I know my love life is of utmost importance to everyone here!!! ). My best friend informed me that she had seen this guy we had gone to school with years ago. I ran into him a few times, and then took the initiative to ask him if he wanted to hang out at some time (my friend still can't believe I did this, she teases me and told me I was "hitting" on him. I said I have never "hit" on anyone in my life!! ).

With both of us working and both going to school full time, our schedules are kinda weird. We made plans for last Wednesday evening, dinner at 6:30pm. Our "dinner plans" lasted 11½ hours!!! No guys, get your heads out of the gutter! After dinner we went to a bar/pool place and by 1am had moved on to some friend's (of his) house so that we could continue hanging out (read: buy alcohol at a convenience store and drink it at home, because we are poor college students and bars are expensive!!) and being the responsible girl that I am, I wouldn't drive home after drinking. Before we parted company he had asked me about making plans for Friday. But then some scheduling conflicts came up and we had to reschedule to this upcoming Wednesday again. Looking forward to it.

It isn't a "dating" thing. We are friends, as we had been years ago in school. But I had a great time. He is intelligent and funny, and cute Could it turn into something???? It is a little early to tell, but even if it never does, I have re-struck up a good friendship and will definitely have a good time hanging out with him!

Good for you Disney845. I had to laugh about your friend saying you were "hitting" on him. That's better than what my 4yr old DD does. She just says that someones my boyfriend. I think I'm go ing to have to put a muzzle on that girl!
