TB- What do you mean it is a good sign? Have fun at the comedy club! Interesting that your bf's best friend met his gf on match also.

Since your weren't upset that the date didn't happen I think that may be a sign of emotional strength. If someone gets upset easily before there is even a true relationship, I think it says more about where they are emotionally than anything about the man himself. And I speak totally from experience when I say this. That you weren't upset indicates to me that you may be feeling a little more comfortable with your dating life. If things don't work out with this one, another man will be around the corner. I think that is a good thing! :D But, of course, my hypothesis could be totally wrong. ;)

We had fun at the comedy club last night. What really struck me was how attractive the new girlfriend is. When DBF's best friend first met her, he said she was "average" looking. She is way more attractive than average. I'm just trying to figure out his motivation for portraying her to others as just "average". Maybe its so when they meet her, they are like, "Wow. She is really attractive!".

PW, loved hearing about your match experience today. Some people really are characters. Is that a nice way to say it? ;) Good luck with your winks. Winking sounds like fun!!

I would say that's true:D

Just the neck down? Did he have clothes on?
To me, that's what Match is good for- a laugh

I had the 3 month for $50 special when I signed up for eHarmony, then I was paying by the month ($30). I did that for one month. I was looking for a special and didn't find any for the 12 month. I want to do a 12 month because it takes so long to get a match. EHarmony had offered me a 12 month special but that was a while ago and expired. So I emailed them yesterday asking for any specials and they offered 12 month for 159.95 instead of the usual $250! That's only $13 and change per month! WOOOHOOOOOO!!! I am in this for the long haul now!
LOLOL! Yes, he had clothes on. Well, I think he had his shirt off...or maybe opened. I do remember a muscular chest and upper arms. :faint:

Congrats on finding the special on eharmony! :) I had also e-mailed them once about something and they honored that special. Now they're sending me info again. Uh oh...am I nearing the end of my time with them? Still haven't gotten anything back from the 2. One in town and military, the other quite a bit away but might be fun to look into. Have you heard from HG?

Hmmm...don't know why he would do that either. Any lurking guys have an answer? :teeth:

I think you're right. "Characters" sounds like a good word. ;)

Hey, Suzanne!!! Did you survive your first two days back okay? :)

Hi everyone!

I went to Cheynne Wyoming for a couple of days. My parents were their in their motorhome. It was Frontier Days...a western ho down of sorts! Very cute cowboys! It was nice to get away even if was less than 2 hours away!

Still looking at townhomes. I found one I really liked but the payments would be too high. To answer someones question, my parents are thinking of buying the townhome as an investment and I could rent from them and then maybe I could buy it from them in the future. Just not sure what to do. I am pay rent now and that money is going no where and I have to live someplace....maybe a van down by the river....

No news on the job front! I broke down and called the VP of Operations who interviewed me on Monday and he said that they are not sure when they are going to hire the new Account Manager. Great! I asked him if there was a chance that I would be hired and he said yes...that my qualifications were what they were looking for...my references were fine...it was just a matter of timing. I don't know why they had me come in and interview if they are not sure when they will be hiring?? But he also said that he couldn't ask me not to take another job if one came available to me. I went on another interview today. It was round one of their interview process. Next week they'll let me know if I get a second interview and so on and so on!

My dd had an AG doll when she was younger. She was a tomboy so I think the doll was more for me than for her! I would have loved to have gone to the AG store in Chicago! I used to buy her all of the accessories, clothes, furniture, ect.

Hope everyone is well!

Vicki

Hi Vicki,
Glad you had a good time. Hmmm....a cute cowboy sounds good to me:D

That's nice of your parents to offer to buy for you so you could rent from them.

Sorry to hear about the run around they're giving you on that job. I've had that happen to me too.

My dd is not a tomboy but the AG doll is as much for me as it is for her :teeth: The accessories are amazing!

Those cowboys are cute but...they have this funny limp thing going on!

I do have wonderful parents! And I am lucky that they have the means to help me but I feel guilty having them help me....after all I am supposed to be an adult and there is something about doing it on my own! But I'll let them help me because they want to.

Did you get the job that you were given the run around?

Which AG does your daughter have? Mine has/had the modern one and I was able to order it with her same skin, hair and eye color. She had the entire ski outfit with skiis, inner tube, goggles, etc. It is so cute!

Argh! I am so tired of painting. My goal for today is to finish a hallway - which includes five doors! Painting doors and door frames are such a pain. I only have one more week before I have to go back to work...

Vicki...That sounds great if your parents buy a townhouse and you rent from them. Sounds like a much better deal than putting $$$ in a stranger's pocket. Good luck with the job!!! I hope it comes through for you.

TigerBear...Good luck with the painting! Now that's a job I'd never tackle. I give you a lot of credit for that one!

Agh! Painting! That is one of the most tedious jobs I have ever done. But it does make a house look clean and fresh though. Good luck with finishing it up Tigerbear

How is the weekend going everyone? We went to see The Village today. I enjoyed it more than DBF I think. I'm cooking tonight - which is not one of my talents. Lets hope its edible. ;)

LOL! I hope dinner is/was edible, TigerBear. :teeth:

I've just been trying to stay busy and out of the house today. What's up with that? I don't know why the last two or three weekends have been more difficult to be here. Don't know what's causing that. I'm tired of trying to keep busy!! It didn't help to get up early today. The pups always have me up by 6:15. By the time late afternoon came, I felt like it was Sunday! :faint: Chased around...Starbucks, post office, then to the Coliseum where they had a flea market type thing. Nothing too interesting or worth it except for sneakers for DS. Got him 2 pairs of Nike's for $35. Where else? Oh! Then to the library to type my resume on a computer there and saved it on a disk. Good timing...finished 10 minutes before they closed. :teeth: I should have that resume memorized by now! Then it was time for the late afternoon pick me up...another cup of coffee! Then to Kinko's to buy some paper and envelopes for the resume. (There's a job available with the City that's worth a shot.) Then Best Buy...where I had to buy Mad About You DVDs since I refuse to call the cable company until I have a job. :) Then WalMart and finally home. I still don't want to be here. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!

Don't know what we're doing tomorrow yet except I'll be back at the library again. :) How was everyone else's day?

:Pinkbounc OH! I forgot to mention that at 10 this morning, tickets for Toby Keith's concert in September went on sale! Yipeeeeee! I purchased them online at 10:07. GREAT SEATS!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc He puts on a fantastic show! And with all the military here, I'm sure it will be pretty special. That guy I went out with last week is an instructor for the Army, used to be in. He said he knows he'll have a few free tickets coming to him since he's a single soldier. :) I think it's GREAT they do that for them!!

Dinner was fine Friday night. I'm actually not a bad cook - just not a good one! LOL!

It sounds like you had a busy weekend Sandy! Toby Keith sounds like a lot of fun. Congrats on the good seats. And good luck on the city job.

So, where is everyone? :wave2: Hope all is well!

Glad dinner turned out fine. :)

Busy weekends are good I guess. Have to run to the post office and get that resume out! :teeth:

Where's everyone else? Vacation? ;)

Oye!

Yes, Eric I am still here somewhere. LOL :rotfl:

Been really busy with work, school, Chris, family, and trying to get ready for Florida.

School is tough this quarter. :(

Work sucks but who doesn't say that from time to time.

Family and friends, well lets just say I don't have enough time to spread between them all. :o

Chris and I are great. Closer then ever, yesterday he gave me a promise ring. :Pinkbounc He has got to be the single best thing that has ever happened to me, that and this opportunity to go to Disney. It will be hard for us, but I know we will make it through and that this will only make us stronger.

Anxiety is here also. Seems like every day it gets harder and harder to comprehend leaving everything I have ever known. Even if it is only for 5 months.

Hey Eric call my cell sometime before the 23rd and we can set up a time and place to meet up the night before we check in. I will try and get ahold of Kim and you can talk to your friend too. My dad will be with me and I can not leave him but he is one of the coolest people. So laid back.

PW sorry about the date. Toby Keith tickets, AWESOME!!! He was just here the other day. Couldn't go though I had a wedding to go to.

FLM, How do you manage the distance? I guess love conquers all huh.

TB goodluck on the painting.

AG dolls are so cuet and cool. My lil sister has a couple and I have Kirstin, she is still new in the box. Saving her for something special.

Ok I have to get going.
Later all.

Congratulations!! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Edited to add: I think this officially takes you off the singles scene! ;) Not that we don't want to hear about how wonderful your life with him is going! :D And we can't wait for WDW updates!! :teeth: I really do hope you have a wonderful experience in the college program.

Hi all,

I was out of town at my nephew's b'day party this past weekend. Had a nice, fun weekend with my family. I saw The Village. Different movie. Didn't like the ending.

MDP- congrats on the ring:D

TB- How's the painting?

PW- Get any effects of Hurricane Alex?

I have an apartment of my own right now and Chris stays with me most of the time, it is only a studio apartment and there is nowhere for even all of my stuff let alone his too. Some people we know have moved out of their house into a new one and we are friend with their son. They still have the old house and are still making payments on it. Yesterday the three of us went to talk to the owner about us or actually Chris and his friend Kevin renting the house. It will be a benifit for both parties. For us it will mean a place to stay under a lease with more space then we currently have, and a space for Chris and Kevin to work on cars for extra $. For them, Chris and Kevin have agreed to help with the fixing up of the house, putting in a bathroom upstairs, remodeling etc. We have another talk with them tomorrow. Chris knows them rather well and is very optimistic. I am excited.

Just another thing to add to the anxiety of me leaving. I find my self thinking about it way too much. I just keep telling myself it is only temporary and if i can not handle it I can come home.
