Okay...I've Called the Late Night DISers, Now I'm Calling the Single DISers (Part 2)

True! You won't get bored being in the same place every day.

Ack! I had another golf ball break a window this morning. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_9_7.gif' alt='Crying Into Tissue' border=0></a> Got this guy's name and number also. I'm still chasing back and forth with the guy that broke the first window! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_2_204v.gif' alt='Pulling My Hair Out' border=0></a>

PW- That stinks!!! Thinking of moving elsewhere?

Another one?  Just what you need right now.

Have you asked your neighbors how often this happens to them? I think the cute guy would be a good candidate to ask. ::yes:: ;)

Thinking! :scratchin Hmmmmmmmmmm...maybe I'll stay in this place shorter than I normally would. I called a window/glass company today that the development uses. They really do have the lowest price to replace them than the others I've called. I asked about plexiglas rather than glass. She said I wouldn't want that...it discolors, doesn't last as long as glass (but it would if they keep getting hit with golf balls!), and your home is "safer" with glass. Hmm...I'm not sure about that one. Anyone can break a window and get in. Think I'll be looking forward to snow!! No golfing!! So I asked the lady if they have a "frequent buyer" program. She laughed. Ugh! Also called the president of our neighborhood. Told him I'm ready to go to small claims court if these guys end up not paying. The first guy hasn't answered my 2nd letter that I faxed to him today. Maybe he's not in the office. Have to wait and see. The pres. suggested trying to "settle" on a price with him. Says court could take a while and be drawn out. Hmm...I guess it's nice to have a retired lawyer clue me in. That's the pres. At least with this window it's just the outer glass that broke, not the inner pane. Ugh! The process again! I need to charge by the hour for all the time wasted on this. Does $200/hr sound good? :teeth:

Hello from Disney World  ... well, sort of ... actually a Disney cast apartment complex about 2 miles away from Disney World.

Went to Epcot this evening to watch Illuminations with Karen (Mickey's Disney Princess (::MickeyMo's princess: ) ) and her roommate (who's name I'm forgetting right now). She says hi to everyone, is doing well, but having some computer problems right now. :chat:

For those of you who want to hear about her engagement ring ... it's a pretty-looking heart-shaped solitaire ring. She seemed very proud and happy to be wearing it. :Pinkbounc :bounce:

As far as Disney College Program job locations, she's at Magic Kingdom, in Merchandise, and I'm a greeter at the Animal Kingdom.

I'll post some pictures of the fireworks, and possibly one of ::MickeyMo 's princess: and her roommate, most likely tomorrow (if I can find the cable for my camera)

(I noticed that I used a more smilies than usual in this post ... guess I picked up the habit from ::MickeyMo 's princess: ... not that it's a bad habit to get into)

Hi, Eric! :wave2:

Thanks for the update! Glad you both got there fine. Sorry for MDP's computer problems...yuck! Her ring sounds beautiful. I bet she's very excited. :teeth:

Can't wait to see the pictures!

Hi Eric:wave:
That's great you're at AK! Are you at the entrance greeting people as they come in? How long will you be there? We are going for a weekend in Dec. for my neice's birthday and she LOVES AK so we will be going then. We will also go to MK.
And there's always the possibility of going for a day before the Dec. trip since we have annual passes.

Say hi to Karen. Her ring sounds beautiful!
It's great that you two met before coming to Disney so at least you know someone there.

I'll be manning the turnstyles and greeting folks as they enter the park. Our program runs through the first week in January. It's possible that I may be cross-trained to work other areas, but for now, it's the AK main entrance.

This morning I found out that my X was going to have dd the rest of the weekend and take her to school on Mon. So I drove dd to his work late this afternoon. We get out of the car and dd says look- Jen's car is here. (That's my X's gf). I look and there is her car parked next to his in the lot. I just stand there and stare. She is never around when I drop dd off. I never have to see her. I think maybe she is in another store in the plaza. So I go in X's store and don't see anyone at first then notice there is someone at the very back booth in the corner. DD yells out- Jen's kids are here!. Then I know yes indeed the gf is here. My X says from behind the counter "why don't you go over and meet Jen and her kids?". I shook my head no and at the same time motioned my hand back and forth in a "no" movement. X gives me a look. I got my food and walked out without saying goodbye to anyone. Even my dd. Well, she was with gf's kids and didn't even notice I walked out.
I just couldn't meet the gf. I just didn't want that in my face. I wasn't ready for that and it took me by surprise. Was it *****y of me not to go meet her?

It just dawned on me that if and when I get back there, I'm going to have to trade a pin for one you have! :hyper:

Nope, not at all!  And for you to leave without saying bye to dd, you must have really been upset about it. I'm sorry he has the consideration of a flea at best!

Is there some reason you didn't know in advance? :( I know that with ds's godparents, they have a meeting place...gas station/7 Eleven about half way between their houses.

Ack! I just closed out "Marvin" at eharmony. Couldn't take it any more. Five more sitting in the pot. LOL! :smooth:

Yes, I was very upset. On the outside I looked calm but on the inside I was a mess.

He was working there at the time and couldn't leave his store to go meet me somewhere. I called to say I would be 10 min. late. He could have mentioned it then. (After I left, the gf was going to take the kids to the park and to her house. My X and her live near each other in the same development.)

(((HUGS))) Legs. I can just "hear" the pain in your voice. You obviously are not ready to meet the girlfriend - and like Sandy said, the ex should not put you in that situation. I just hate that he can still make you feel so bad. :(

SW, lucky you! I actually think AK might be my favorite park. Whenever I daydream about Disneyworld, it is almost always at AK! :D I can't wait to see the pics.

Legs, I hope you are feeling better today...I know that might not be possible with your dd still away. I'm thinking about you...

Legs {{hugs}} Men can be such jerks sometimes. They just don't think which is most of their problems to begin with.

They've accumulated since they haven't checked back in yet. Ha! It should tell me something about them. One I can possibly excuse for hanging out there since he's military...won't close him, that's for sure. :smooth: The others can sit there too.

I also hope you feel better, Legs!
