Okay, I'm back and terribly scared, so what did I miss?

Sunday (Mother Nature's day apparently) morning two tornadoes touched down in our city, causing catastrophe. Damage is everywhere. Our neighborhood
got spared, and everyone I know is safe.

However the buildings are not. Our skating rink is completely torn apart,
my dad teaches at a college, and all the college's trees, roofs, are torn apart. Trees are on top of buildings, signs are everywhere. My school had some damage, but the the successor high school just up the rode was wrecked and
torn apart. Trailers were in trees. The gym collapsed and flooded, and trees
smashed the cafeteria. A lot of houses are gone, along with thousands
of trees. Power has been out since 5:30 AM yesterday, and they didn't
expect it to come back on until Tuesday since nearly every powerline was
snapped and thrown everywhere. Luckily they got the power back on early.

We were a disaster area and state of emergency, even a water tower's
lid was taken off! Everything's destroyed, it's like really amazing. @_@

So, while we were in mayhem the past two days, what did I miss?

Yes it was very scary, my parents woke me up and we huddled in the safest
place we have in the house, a bathroom downstairs LOL.

I was relieved when the sirens stopped and I was waiting for the power to
turn on.. and when it didn't we went for a ride to get breakfast since we ran
out of stuff we didn't need electricity for.. Turns out it was a lot worse
than it looked. It was really horrible.

One of my neighbors goes to the high school that got ripped apart. She's
really happy because school's obviously out for the year for her.

At least I get today out of school..

Lol it's fine. I think I should have posted this in the community board, I've
talked about the storm more than what I have missed LOL. But she was kind
of on topic because she might have missed that too.

No school for me tomorrow either, still over 20 schools without power.

We get hurricanes and tornadoes, but we don't get earthquakes or blizzards.
We're not even supposed to get bad tornadoes, this is the worse our city
has had in over 50 years.

And your very generous, but no thanks I got the things I needed on Saturday
before our power went poof.

Yep and I'm very grateful that the tornado missed our house by less
than a mile and that me and my family are okay.
