Hello All!

Many years ago (97 to 2000) - I know that I was a part of this forum or perhaps it was WDW MAGIC forum. But it was due to one of these forums that I retired myself from RNR.

Now... it was not because of fear.
I had gotten on the ride three times and loved it.
Here's the thing. Every time I got on this ride my SPINE RATTLED. I did not think it was a big deal. I figured it was something that everyone experienced on the ride. I then posted about how my spine rattled and asked if anyone else experienced the spine rattling sensation. To my dismay, no one posted that they had ever experienced such a thing. It was a jaw-dropping moment for me. After that, I never returned to RNR, but wish I could.

Hence, after two decades, I am asking again.... for good measure.....
Does anyone feel their spine rattling while on RNR???
(PS - I am in good health. No back problems)

Thanks in advance for your responses!

No, I don't recall my spine rattling on that ride.

Never felt my spine "rattle". Aside from a couple head movements, I find RnR to be on the smooth side. Maybe your chest restraint was a little too loose causing added movement

Thanks CAS239. Someone else suggested the same thing to me. But all three times?? :(
I wonder if its because (and pardon the TMI) - I am a very small boned person with a VERY large bosom. So when you mention "chest" restraint... something is clicking here!
Thanks again. If that is the case... it would still remain that there is no remedy to this. I just have an odd body type that doesn't take to the ride. :guilty:
The good thing about not doing RNR is that it's always good for time - to have rides you can eliminate from your itinerary.

I found R & R to be very bumpy! It was why I haven't been on in a few years, the last time I rode I got off feeling like someone had grabbed me and shook me for 2 minutes.

Never had a spine rattle. I've experienced head banging from the roughness of the ride and the design off the restraints.

Lol. Even though my spine rattled, I actually thought the ride was "smooth" - and not even scary.... just "fun."
Wasn't even bothered by the spine thing. It was when I realized that no one else experienced it that I interpreted it as a red flag.
But it does seem that MaxiesMom experiences something similar!

This would be my DD too. Her spine doesn't rattle on RnR so small and petite with a very large bust isn't a factor. At least not alone

CAS239 is the second person to suggest that I may not have been properly secured (tight enough) on to the ride.
One: That is scary.
Two: All three times????

Well, in any event, this is all still very enlightening. It echoes my 90's post, that (thus far) no one else has experienced this!

You do pull the restraint down yourself. Maybe you don't pull as tight as it could go and don't realize it?

BINGO!!!
THAT
is the 64 Thousand Dollar Question! Thank you for asking! The answer is... I do not recall!!! Smh.
I must wonder if "I" am the person who pulls it down and failing to push it down far enough because of my bosom!
At this juncture... I think this may very well be what most needs to be considered and perhaps the answer to the problem!
Thanks for this question! This is why I post to you guys! DISers solve my Disney uncertainties left and right!
Thank you guys! I really ENJOY this ride and would love to get back on it again. I wonder if there is an engineer who can confirm that this is the problem.. not being properly grounded into the seat! And gosh... that's scary!
