and I know it's a small, stupid thing, but I'm really bummed I'm not going to be in WDW for my actual bday of 10/23. I was supposed to be going from 10/15-10/23; however, I finally got a SW ding rate but now am going from 10/14-10/22. In my head, I know I'm doing all of the same things and just moving my AKL night (bday present) from the last night to the first night, but I was really looking forward to waking up at WDW and knowing it was "my" day. I just could justify an extra $165 to do it. Okay, silly, whiny woe is me rant over.

I'm doing the same thing. One reason I decided to leave WDW a day early is so that my family and friends could reach me on my cell phone without interrupting something important.

But you'll be at WDW for 9 Unbirthdays!

I tell you what, RadioFanatic, since youre from my "neck of the woods", I'll help you out. I will be down there ON Oct 23rd. I promise I will wear something that tells everyone who sees me walking through the parks that it's RadioFanatic's Birthday!!!! So, a part of you WILL be there!! I know how you feel, as this is MY birthday trip and my birthday is in July.

I have to go now and make your name tag!!! ;)

Oooh! I know what you mean!

I'm going next month. It's my birthday present to myself, but I don't actually arrive until 4 days after my birthday. It's such a shame because I've never spent a birthday in WDW before, and I've always wanted to! I want to be able to go get a birthday button and proudly wear it all over the parks!

I know I could just fake it and say it's my birthday on one of the days I'm there, but that just feels like cheating, and it wouldn't be as fun to get special birthday attention when I'd know it's all a big lie! So, I'm just going to have to settle for a magical week of unbirthdays.

But hey... it's WDW! And that beats any ol' birthday! :)

Hey!

I live about 30-45 minutes from you guys! I'm in Fonda! LOL! I also feel your pain, as next year my B-Day trip will be in December, but my B-Day is the beginning of Feb!

Until next time,
John

I know how you feel! I too am going for my birthday but I am arriving the day of my Birthday. I originally was going to stay at the AKL for my birthday present, but had to switch over to Pop due to I could not afford the AKL. But hey, I will be in Disney.

I did that last year for my bday but down in the Keys. I planned the trip and don't ask me what I was thinking but we left the day of my bday - so I woke up there but that was it. My DH is the kind where on the last day of the vacation as soon as we wake up and get our stuff packed we are on the road home (he is the one who drives so I have to kinda go when he wants too - I try to take my time getting things together so that I can squeeze a little more out of the trip) Next time I plan a bday trip I will make sure I am gone on my bday.

I leave next Monday for my birthday trip. My birthday was August 9th. I just couldn't pass up the free dining and a $39 fare from Southwest so I'm not there on my birthday but I can still celebrate.

I did spend two weeks at WDW when I turned 50! I figured it was the perfect place to celebrate that milestone.

I can't decide if I want to tell anyone it's my b-day, which falls smack dab in the middle of my trip! I wish it could have been last year (big 4-0). It will just be me and DS, and if I don't tell, he won't know, so.... I did make ressies at CRT that night.

Lisa, I think you should wear a birthday button on your birthday and enjoy the opportunity to be special! Just think of those of us who wish we could join you but can't! ;)
