Okay. Eww. Seriously.

So if someone smoked pot once, they're automatically a bad person? :confused3

Technically, yes. We are taught from day one you are not to do illegal things, it is bad. Pot is illegal. When you're stupid enough to smoke a bong and take the chance of harming someone else (It impairs judgement, and GOD FORBID these people get into a car and drive), yeah I do think you're a bad person for putting others in jeopardy.

BECAUSE actresses/actors are not perfect. She smoked in public. That's her problem. Little kids and parents should discuss this and understand what she did. Again, why does everyone think kids/teens who look up to other stars are naive and stupid enough to do some of the things their favourite celebrity does?

No one is perfect, but when you know you have younger girls looking up to you, use some freaking common sense. Yes, some kids are stupid enough to do things their favorite celebrity does. You act like teenagers are the smartest people on earth and we're not. :confused3 You CAN NOT say that just because it rarely happens, it doesn't mean it's not going to happen.

It's illegal to leave your dogs poop in someone elses yard.
But, say you don't have a bag with you, does that just make you a TERRIBLE AWFUL PERSON?

People do pot all the time. They're not necessarily bad people, they're just doing something that isn't good for them (and sometimes for others).
I'm not defending potheads, but making a huge deal out of someone using illegal substances is just gets annoying.

Pot in illegal throughout the US, dogs pooping in your yard is relative to town laws. Close, but no cigar.
Secondly, when you choose to impair your judgement and take the chance of endangering someone else, yes, I do think you are a bad person. Yes, I have friends who do pot, but that's their life and I have mine. If they were to EVER hurt someone I cared about because they were high, you bet I would be after them like white on rice. I have no tolerance for those who willingly impair their judgement.

I don't care if she puts crap into her body, that's her not me. But that was a really stupid idea to do it outside. :confused3

:rotfl:

nice. so now people who smoke pot are stupid?

Please see the post above this. I honestly hope to God no one you care for is ever hurt by someone who is high, because I can almost guarantee you you would think the person was stupid for smoking pot in the first place.

Not everyone who smokes and then drives.
It doesn't happen every single freaking time.

Sometimes people just get high. And nothing else happens.

Wow. Just because someone trys pot does not make them a bad person. But if that's what you believe, then let's just agree to disagree.

No, but most teenagers have common sense. If you saw your role model jump off of a bridge, would you jump off of a bridge? Not all teenagers are going to follow everything a celebrity does. Not all kids will either. If it does happen, then you can't blame the celebrity. It's their life. Miley Cyrus is thinking of getting an emancipation from her parents and is dating a 20 year old, are 12 years going to start thinking to do this too?

Seriously. Celebrities are humans. Humans make mistakes. Don't blame a celebrity for making a mistake, and then saying that her personal mistake will cause little children to get hold of pot and smoke it.

This is MY opinion. If you don't agree, then I'm just going to agree to disagree with you. It's ridicoulous to fight over if smoking pot once makes you a bad person.

Most kids who look up to this chick think 'Bella' not Kristen Stewart.
And if you're looking up to a infatuated, sex crazed, indecisive person who basically lets people walk all over her....
then there's problems.

IT DOES NOT MATTER! You can not brush it off and say "Well Sally Sue didn't hit anyone when she was high and driving, so that means I won't either". This is exactly what I mean when I say most teenagers don't have common sense, they don't think it will happen to them. Just because it doesn't happen often, doesn't mean it won't happen.

.
THAT'S NOT WHAT I WAS SAYING..
I'm talking kids, with no cars, sitting around just doing pot.

Obviously operating any form of vehicle, or mode of transportation is dumb as **** when you're drunk or high.
Any kid who would do that is an idiot.
But if a kid is just doing it to mellow out and lay on his bed or whatever the frig, I dont' care.

look.
people screw up.
people make bad decisions. its kindof our thing.
it doesn't mean we're stupid.
it means we're human.
is smoking pot the best decision to make? no.
have i done stupider crap? a thousand times over.
am i a bad person? no.
am i stupid? no.
do you have any room at all to judge me? no.

before you go pointing fingers, make sure your own hands are clean.
and before you have the right to point your fingers, you should've been through situations that could make them dirty. and flat out, most of you haven't. if you had, you wouldn't be so apt to judge.

I know that. You don't need to explain to me with a holier than thou attitude like I'm 5 years old. I know that she made a bad decision, but here it doesn't seem like she screwed up, it seems like she did this knowingly.

And if you want to get techincal about this topic and judging, no I've never had sex, drank alcohol, or done drugs. Just like it's human nature to screw up, it's human nature to judge.

what?
i'm the one with the holier than thou attitude?
what?

i'm the one telling all of you to back up and stop judging her.

the irony of the last line of your post actually made me laugh...

i would've been a lot less likable if i were here and you called me.

I'd be pretty pissed too if I had random girls calling me, and if you found this number, there's probably a billion other people who did to, so I can totally understand why she said that.

Oh, I can understand her frustration if a bunch of tweeny boppers got her number.
But being that much of a ***** doesn't make you a very well respected person. If she wants to be that way, fine. I just didn't see that as a very smart pawn to move.

No one is getting my point. :headache:

It doesn't matter what she's paid to do, being an actress and a role model go hand in hand. You don't have to like it, but that's the way it is. No one is perfect, but she should realize this before doing major blockbuster roles. She should've stuck with more indie roles if she didn't want to be a role model, because the major actor in the next big film is almost always a role model. WTH is going through your head when you know you're a role model to young girls, and you go out and show evidence of smoking a bong?!

I totally get your point.
It's a shame others don't though.

Thank you for putting this in.
I'd like to share a little story with you all about my experience with drugs.

My uncle has been a smoker all his life. I'm pretty sure some of you will remember my one thread concerning him and his drug addictions? Well, they've gotten worse. Back when I was seven, my uncle promised me - pinky promised me - that he would quit smoking. Now I'm fourteen, and he's still a heavy smoker. My grandfather sells Christmas trees in the season to earn money. But lately, however, he hasn't been getting very good business. He's taking money out of his morgage (sp?) to pay the people who work for him (my uncle, my mom, etc.). Well, my uncle took the money he got from his pay and spent it all on drugs. Now he's expecting more money from my grandfather, but my grandfather is trying to kindly explain that he doesn't have a lot of money to give. So he makes up an excuse and says that his daughter, Alyssa (5), is sick and he needs money for her medicine. But my grandfather said that he would simply pick up medicine for her later. When he called my uncle to ask what medicine she needed, he said nevermind. He was using it as an excuse to get money for more drugs. He treats my cousins and his own wife bad (not abusal, but he did break a door or two in his day), he screams at everyone for the stupidest things, and he is just not the same. He's losing his house because the money he should be using to pay his house is going to drugs. And now, I found out he's stealing Christmas trees to get even more money for drugs.

So please, before you tell me what can and can't ruin a person's life, think about a person and what they may be battling themselves. Cause pot sure as hell can ruin a person's life. And not just one person too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhjwUR2SeAE They don't put commercials like this out on TV for nothing...

So, having sex and drinking alcohol is considered "screwing up" now?

If marijuana was REALLY all that bad then it would never be considered for use in the medical work nor would it be decriminalized and legal in other countries.. You don't see doctors prescribing meth, do you? Or "coffee houses" that sell heroin.

You don't understand my opinion either, so we'll just agree to disagree.

No one has understood my opinion on this entire thread. I've repeated it several times but people still don't get it.

everything is kindof a blur for me. i always forget who said what. what was your opinion?

Did anyone even take the time to read my post? Not to sound really mean or anything, but this thread dug up a few hurtful feelings about my uncle, and it'd be a shame to have brought them up for absolutely nothing.

Because kids are easily influenced.

Why does every kid want to wear hollister and blonde hair and look like a tanned orange oompa loompa. Because it's the COOL thing to do. Because EVERYONE does it. Young kids are easily influenced. If they weren't, they would realize they look stupid trying to look like everyone else and they would want to have a little individuality. They are influenced by what they see.
