Okay...can anyone tell me about Grand Palms?

I've done a search on this forum and the info is pretty sparse...We're planning a 2-week trip to WDW next Dec. and I'm interested in finding a good rate for a 2-3 bdrm condo. Gone are the great Skyauction deals and AFVC (Armed Forces Vacation Club) deals of 3 years ago or so! Anyway, I'd appreciate hearing anything you may know about Grand Palms (located in the Lindfields area). Has anyone stayed there? Good or bad experiences? TIA!

skyauction deals come and go.

last week for next week - there were a bunch of them.

but long time out skyauction deals are generally gone.

I haven't heard about Grand Palms - but I will definitely go look.

Thanks Spicey...I don't even think Skyauction is our best bet anyway, because DH doesn't want to move after the first week (he wants to stay put for the full 2 weeks), and the chances of finding 2 back to back SA weeks (including Christmas week...) are probably slim to none. Last year we stayed at Cypress Pointe through Hotelkingdom...but their 2 bdrm rate is about $99 per night this year, and I think we can find a better rate elsewhere.

I appreciate the map link...I'm wondering how bad the traffic is on that end of 192 now during a holiday week...We stayed at Orange Lake in '03 (during the same time frame) and only ran into a bad traffic jam on our last day there.

Grand Palms has been around for at least a couple of years...but strangely, there haven't been many reports about it that I can find.
**edited to add...they are condos in the Lindfield development area.

you are much closer than Orange Lake - you are so close that you don't need to take black lake (although you can) to get to sherberth road.
