Ok, you got FP+ for Anna & Elsa...

I just booked our Fast Pass for A&E but had to break our party of 5 into 3 overlapping times.

I'm a little PO'd at Disney on this! They should alert guests who have reservations within 60 days of some of the major changes! I'm sure a lot of folks will still be heading to Epcot to see A&E.

Yeah, that's not going to be fun for some parents who get there and there are no FPs left either :sad2:

Glad you were able to get what you needed! I follow WDW, DisneyParks and other official sources on twitter and Facebook and they've posted the change there MANY times. Then there is the plethora of unofficial sites who have as well, though obviously most won't follow all of those. They could put a note on the website for the A&E character experience that as of April XX they are appearing in MK with FP+ available. But if I've done my planning and am not checking sites anymore, how should they let me know? Email everyone with tix or a resort reservation? Seems impossible to catch everyone who cares... Not to mention that they can't do this with every change they make. Could still be frustrating if we showed up without knowing, but I'm not sure how much they could be expected to do here, realistically.

God, I really hope this calms down a little by mid-sept. we are not on site and I am so stressed already to think it will be more than an hour wait standby at rope drop. Ugh.

This will now be first priority for some guests, so arriving early and running down Main Street may be your only option. : )

You could always schedule a early morning breakfast and hope to get to Fantasyland before the crowd. Also, avoid any morning with EMH at MK as onsite guests will already be an hour ahead of you.

But, who knows, by September they will most likely have early FP+ rolled out to most offsite quests anyways, so this will be a moot point.

I say BS! When people spend thousands of dollars to have a magical experience, Disney should at least notify their guest that stay on property of any changes that occur within 60 days of arrival. If they can do magic bands and fast passes, have the courtesy of letting their guest know of what changes are happening within 60 days of their visit! Let's not forget that this is a for profit company!

Guess I just don't agree. Seems beyond the realm of what's reasonable. Where do they draw the line on what changes to notify all of us of? Truth is that most changes wont matter much at all to most guests. If something I have planned for a Disney vacation is CRITICAL to us, I spot check on here and elsewhere a few weeks before our trip.

And as I said -- if you do something as incredibly easy as follow Disney on FB or twitter, you'd be notified of this change -- multiple times.

I just got our FP+'s for May 2 for the 5 of us. I had to break us up into 2 groups of 2 and a single with overlapping times, though. Very annoying!

It's going to be a very princess-filled day because my younger 2 are doing BBB in the morning and we are having a late lunch at CRT! Yippee!!!!

I saw on another board someone saying the FP+ could get up to a 1-2 hour wait. Is this possible?! I would think Disney would limit the FP+ so this wouldn't happen.

If it was my post, I was thinking standby would be at least 2 hours because of the fast passes going in.

If it wasn't my post :), I would believe the Fastpass line could get as long as a 40 mins. I had read a trip report of a "there now" person who stated the fast pass return for the safari line was 40 mins because of the number of fast passes, the timing and people getting the bands to read ( takes a couple of secs each versus grabbing 5 tickets at a time). That was last month.

So, a long Fastpass line wouldn't be surprising, especially since people are used to going to MK for the princesses- now they are in a known and more frequented park. Standby line will still be heinous!!!!

Lol, no it wasn't your post. Our FP is for 3:15 . I hope it doesn't get too messed up with the parade.

I think it was one of the "big bloggers" who suggested that there could be a significant wait in the FP+ line. None of us know of that is true yet so I would keep my eyes peeled for the first set of people who report back on the 20th and gauge from there.

I truthfully think they could shorten the lines by only doing Elsa and Anna and removing the secondary "visiting princess"

Break your party down and schedule one or two at a time. You should be able to get overlapping time periods. I was able to find A&E meets just now when I checked.

My 60-day window opened today and I was pleasantly surprised to find a 10:20 FP+ for the day I wanted to meet A&E! Onto the rest of my FP+ list...

How late will Anna and Elsa be meeting guests? On our arrival day in July we will be heading to MK late for EMH after the Pirates and Pals cruise and wondered if that might be a good time to either schedule a FP or wait in line.
