OK! You are the new DCL owner!

A later disembarkment when you return. That's *mighty* early in the morning!

Exhaust systems in the bathrooms or automatic air fresheners.

A casino, open after 9 PM (I like that idea -- it would save me the trip to Atlantis!)

Revamp of all menus (though there were changes on our Dec. cruise even from our August cruise!)

*All* verandah rooms

Captain Jack Sparrow as a "walk-around" character -- or ... how about a day on a deserted island with Captain Jack for the ladies?

Cheaper bingo options.

A docking system that would make it easier to dock at CC (gee, think I'm sad we didn't get there in December????)

Not only am I driving, but I'm sounding the horn too whenever I want to!

No casino

No smoking

Larger pools with a long slide in one pool

CC twice on the 7 day cruises

I really like the the idea of the Gelato Social in Palo! That would be really naet:D.

Other Changes:

Having two different areas for 12-14 15-17 year old. Also bigger areas for teans altogether (mabye a hottub of their own like on some Princess/RCI cruiseships)

Bathrobes in all cabins.

Padded chaise lounges on deck.

Real ice cream in Scoops (the mickey ice cream bars would be great LOL)

Free Soda all day .

And mabye instead of totally non-smoking mabey they could take out some lower floor inside cabins (not much revenue) add a new venitlation system put in couches and call it a somking lonuge, only allowed to smoke there. I heard this on the CC boards and I think it would be great. I don't smoke but I HATE the smell!

I think those would be most of my changes:tongue:

.....................::yes::

Get rid of the single supplement.

(My wish, right?.....) and establish a cigar free verandah zone

and, on his "poop deck" Cash would like a shallow 4' X 8' box of real turf with a fire hydrant, or small palm tree, to water. :wave2:

My Ship?

A private suite so I can live on the ship.

A Bungalow at CC for overnight stays

An area (and activities) of the ship for age 18-20 (I still think this is the most overlooked age group)

Frequent Cruiser Card

Ditto on all that - especially Palo reservations made when you pay off your cruise!

BUT, of course, knowing us, you should have guessed what our change would be...

BRING BACK DUELING PIANOS WITH FIDELIO!!

Fidelio rocks!

Rae and of course, Fidelio's biggest fan and future Dueling Piano Partner, Michael

 oopss.....wrong theme.

Anyhow...

1 - Make reservations for Palo and the spa accessible through your TA or DCL at the date of your final payment.

2 - Split the teen club age grouping into 13 - 15 year olds and 16 - 18 year olds.

3 - Make the operation of Topsiders as a fourth, non-assigned choice standard for dinner each night.

4 - Make the spa a Disney-managed operation.

5 - Stop charging for sodas and juices at the bars.

6 - Maybe provide more of a variety of character appearances; i.e. Toy Story characters, Peter Pan characters, etc.

7 - I really like the idea that was mentioned earlier of Sailings off the West Coast....a Hawaiian cruise and an Alaskan cruise would be quite successful, I would think.

8 - Adults need their own "character appearances". Hire George Clooney to just hang around. Or Viggo Mortensen. Or Denzel Washington. Or Pierce Brosnan. Or Johnny Depp, in Jack Sparrow persona. Or Mel. I'm not really picky about this.

Just some little suggesstions from a little mind.

Can I add this to my list as well?????

why, certainly you may.....there are Disney Dreams, and honey, there are MY Disney Dreams.....!!!!!

Brenda

:wave2: UHM can we add Orlando Bloom to the above mentioned list? Thank you

If I OWNED the ship, I'd be interested in making money. Here's what I'd do:

1. I'd give my repeat cruisers good discounts so they won't "shop" the competition.

2. I'd give merchandise to repeat cruisers. People love "free stuff", and it's advertising for me. When they wear my DCL polo to a party, people will ask about it. When they take my DCL beach towel to the pool, people will ask about it. When they whip out my DCL key chain, people will ask about it.

3. I'd let people sign up for Palo and spa treatments ahead of time.

4. I'd raise ticket prices $1 per person and make sodas free all the time.

5. I'd switch ports every year so that people won't consider it "the same old cruise" again. This will make people want to cruise more often.

6. I'd increase the selection of items in the gift shops, and I'd have the shops open more hours.

7. Many people say that the Castaway Cay day is their favorite part of the trip. On selected week-long cruises, I'd have the ship stop at Castaway Cay on two separate days -- perhaps the first and the last days.

8. I'd change the set up at Shutters so that people wouldn't walk away without paying for their pictures!

After reading the last post about Shutters I was thinking...well would it be better if they used digital pictures. That way they would take your picture and there would be kiosks located in shuters where you find the picture and then print it if you wanted to. I don't know if this would be cheaper but they wouldn't need to use all of the photoprinting stuff they use now.

I noticed a lot of requests for Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. Would Keith Richards do?

Since I'm the owner, I'm going to have Keira Knightley, the female star of Pirates, on each cruise, too!!!

Well, I'd like Keith, too - probably just ensconced in one of the lounges. But we want Captain Jack Sparrow, too!:earseek:

That is such a great idea! Seems like all the way around, that would be more efficient and cost effective.

1) Build 3 new ships immediately. As you noticed, people have very strong opinions about shows, casinos, and the like. So one ship would be "Disney-light" That is, a casino, half of the shows are non-Disney (comedian, etc.), music piped in would be something other than Disney, etc.
(People say a casino is Non-Disney.....yeah right...and "Bad Santa" IS Disney-ish right?)

The other 2 ships would be RCCL Voyager class ships, only nicer. Rock climbing walls, miniature golf, skating rink, and things only Disney can think of for other deck activities. The Magic and Wonder are booked far in advance, and they're getting a far higher price than comparable ships...time to build.

2) Free style dining- Again...not on all 5 ships. MAny people like the rotational dining, getting to know the servers, etc. Maybe that's an option on 1 or 2 of the ships.

3) Reward system for CC members who convince others to use DCL. I can't count how many families we've convinced to try DCL. People who have never cruised before...people who had alegiance to another cruise line, those that thought it would be too Disney, etc. WE are selling cruises for Disney, and it would be nice to get a $50 credit at least for each cabin we help "sell" Make it fun...the more people we refer our "class" goes up...private...captain...admiral..etc.

i would put a ship in the mediterranean so that my family could sail as often as Barb and Tony do...
we'd be on that baby every weekend...

and it would be really perfect if it would dock at the port near our house.....no airplanes.....now THAT would be heavenly.....

No smoking anywhere indoors.

Non-stop direct trams to Serenity Bay. The wait for the second tram can be as long as 20 minutes or more. Much too long for someone who NEEDS to see the beach and listen to the quiet. Love those gentle lapping waves.......so peaceful. Wish I was there now.

I would lower the volume on the music played at the pool. It gets to be a little too much after awhile.

Heat the adult pool. Last cruise the water was too cold. The weather was a litle cool so a warmer pool would have been nice.

Free soda throughout the day and more selections.

i already answered this (a ship in the mediterranean so that my family can cruise every weekend)....
but in addition to that one, i would have organized activities for those is the older teen category....ages 18 to 20 or thereabouts....this group is totally neglected by DCL....the kids who don't have siblings to hang out with, have to hang with their parents.....they really should have something for these kids to do...
