OK - Who's already got a VGF reservation?

Transferred my BWV reservation to GFV-Standard 1 bedroom for 11/23-11/26 this morning online. Had to call MS after to have them reallocate the points that I used so that banked points were used first.

Can you explain how this works? I thought you'd have to cancel a reservation and re-book for the new room. I want to transfer a ressie to VGF Aug 7th but didn't think I could do it online without losing my first ressie and there are no rooms available for my trip that first weekend we are there- so I can't cancel in case I am left with no room. If I can transfer without losing my old ressie until the new ressie at VGV is booked that would be great!!
