Ok Who is up for a 6 week challenge?

I also appologize for not being able to post recently. I haven't gained or lost in 2 wks. I have stuck to my diet, but no results. I wonder if this is normal or if I will never lose again. In any event I have lost my 10 lbs for this goal and still hope to lose 20 more by summer.

I didn't do great today, but I do have some good news from the last couple of days. DH has started walking with me in the evenings! I am so proud of him for coming with me and it really makes it more enjoyable for me to have someone to talk to while we walk. We are celebrating our 6th anniversary Sunday (we're only a day apart, mommyflower!) but not doing anything in particular.

Everybody have a great weekend!

Hello - All - I'm here to check in - Everyone here seems a little gloomy this week. Me too, for some reason I've lost my motivation for walking. I just can't get myself to do it. I did lose another pound this past week so I've lost 27 pounds since I've started but I'm starting to lose motivation with the diet too. I can't quite figure out why. Part of it is because our weather has been gloomy and my house is cold. We are out of propane and so there's no heat. My DH refuses to buy any at these high prices. Soo, we basically are making very good use of our blankets right now. Don't get me wrong, it's not freezing, it's just not as warm as I'd like it to be. It's been getting down into the 30s at night outside.
ANYWAY, I've got to figure out what I can do to get my motivation back. I really don't want to gain anything back.
Well, cheer up everyone and Congrats on your Anniversary celebrations, mommyflower and goofitup. My DH and I will be at 5 years in October. It can be a real challenge but I love him dearly and he's a good man. A little stubborn at times but that's two-sided if I have to be honest. Take Care All! --Renee

I have had a great couple of days. I am so motivated to stay on my diet and I have plans to begin working out with my husband beginning on Monday. I tried on my summer clothes and nothing fits (I do mean nothing). I was an 18 last summer so everything is way to big. I really didn't want to go shopping until I reached my goal because I can't afford a new wardrobe twice, however I had to go get a couple pairs of shorts. It turns out that I am now a size 10! That is as small as I was when I got married 12 years ago. Granted I fill them out more now, but I am sticking to my diet so I can still lose and fit them. I also ran into a women that I worked with 14 years ago. She couldn't believe how good I look and was really surprised when she learned that I have 3 sons and one is only 17 mths old. I am truly flying high on all the great compliments. I have also finally taken off another pound bringing my 6 week challenge total to 12 lbs lost and my overall total to 42 lbs. I feel great and I guess that I look great too. I still feel that I need to drop those last 20 lbs to get me back to my high school weight, but my parents (my toughest critics) think that I should stop soon. I hope that you all get remotivated. I have learned that even if the scale is not budging you may still be losing inches. Warm weather is right around the corner (we've had quite a few 80+ days lately). My motivation is to look my best for the summer and my husband is loving every minute of my weight loss and my higher self esteem. Happy Anniversary to those of you celebrating soon. Maybe you could get a new outfit to celebrate in.

Part of it is because our weather has been gloomy and my house is cold.

Naisy68 -- Come on down here and warm up! We usually aren't here on Saturdays so the a/c didn't come on and DH and I were HOT in the house. We went out to rollerblad this afternoon and we were commenting on how we could alread feel that hot air hitting us! It won't be long before we have to wait until late evening to get in any exercise. UGH!

I feel great and I guess that I look great too

my3princes -- You've have done great with your dieting and exercise and I bet you look like a million dollars! Hearing your successes is motivating! Staying motivated can be tough, but after you get out and do your excercising, or make it a whole day without cheating on your diet, the feeling you have is 100% worth it!

Keep up the good work everybody!

well i lost another pound this week so Im feeling ok about it.

Yeah binny
Thanks for organizing this challenge. It has worked very well for me. I look forward to reading how everyone is doing. I personally am sticking with Atkins and hope to talk myself into more exercise. Exercise is definately a problem for me. I really need to get motivated.
