DD is tired of hearing about dining choices so I turn to you, fellow Dissers, to critique my (current) ADR selections.

This will be DD's & my 5th Free Dining trip so the rule (mine of course) was no restaurant we've been to more than once before. I need the Sept calendar to pin down exactly when we go to which but this is the list:

Nine Dragons (we made the Honey Chicken & DD wants to try the real thing)
The Wave ( a must do repeat from last year)
Boma
Chefs de France
Mama Melrose (Fantasmic pkg & also a repeat)

Then 1 of the following:

Biergarten
Cape May Cafe
Capt Jacks
Sanaa

What do you think? Any and all opinions welcome :hippie:

I would go with Cape May Cafe and do the clam bake I bet there is something there for everyone in the family.

i vote biergarten. the pork schnitzel is wonderful and the band is very entertaining.

I'd go with Cape May Cafe. We've always had a good meal there. The snow crab legs and mashed potatoes are YUM!!!

I've been to all four of these and would go with Cape May. There should be something on the menu that both of you will like. Personally I love their oreo bon bons and clams and could easily make a meal on just those two items.:rotfl:

Biergarten is fun though. However, would she like German food? I know where we were there this past Dec we sat with a family that had two girls about 6 y/o and 8 y/o who were both complaining about not finding anything to eat. The only things they had on their plates were some pieces of weiners, a pretzel roll, and macaroni and cheese.:rotfl:

Capt Jacks we were not impressed with the last couple of times we went, but we haven't been in a couple of years, so don't know if the food has improved any. The last time I checked though the menu was rather limited.

Sanaaa I've only been to once and that was last spring, right after it opened. I went mainly for the view of the animals, but even though we asked, we were seated on the opposite side of the restaurant from the animals and couldn't see a thing. I don't think any of us liked the desserts, but the appetizers and entrees were very good. The food was not spicy like I was expecting and hoping for though.

Since you are already going to Boma, I don't think I'd make another trip over to that area and I'd definitely choose Boma over Sanaa. I adore the soups and desserts at Bomas and they also have a large variety on the children's pod if your daughter doesn't care for the other options. My mom is not an adventoursome eater at all and she loves Boma. Also you can go out onto Arusha Rock and check the animals out while you are there and maybe catch the African story teller.

I think it looks good; my vote is for beirgarten; the show is fun, I like the atmosphere, and slightly easier transportation if you're using disney transport (no walk to BC)

FYI - DD is 25 and, although getting better, still not too adventurous an eater. But she checked all the menus and approved these choices.

I, too, am leaning toward Cape May or Biergarten more for logistics. She's not big on DTD so I think we might only stop there on the morning we leave so we can get sandwiches from EOS for the wait at the airport.

We will probably be in MK that day so the monorail to Epcot or the bus to BC wouldn't be an issue. So now between those 2?

My vote, Sanaa. They have wonderful reviews, is the newest place to eat and food and atmosphere A+.
