OK...what are the stories about getting into VGC in May at 7 months?

We're going on the WBPC cruise next May and would like 3 nights, weekday, at the VGC. Either a studio or 1 bedroom would be great! Chances? Any experiences with this sort of thing?

If that's not available, there still is a "reservation point" option, isn't there?

When in May is that? If early and a 1BR is acceptable odds should be ok for getting something.

If it runs up around Memorial Day then might be a little more of an issue but still decent odds.

And yes - the other option is booking the Disney collection at PP, DLH or GC and I haven't personally had any difficulties with that even on fairly short notice. You'd even have time to waitlist for VGC if necessary and then if it didn't come thru to book thru the collection.

The week before Memorial weekend, beginning either the Monday or Tuesday before and 3 night stay there! I'm thrilled that we'll be fitting a trip into DL in DH's retirement! Who knows, maybe someday we will get to Aulani!

Both are great so after you get the VGC in don't wait too long for Aulani!

Be prepared to be online right at 7 months because while rooms are often available at 7 months they do go fast at that point.

I've had good luck adding nights onto my 11mo ressie at 7mo using my SSR points. I just did that with a Dec trip and had to waitlist, but it came through the next day. Good luck. May and Oct are the best times to be at the resort and at DL! We just got back from a stay there last week, loved it yet again!
