First time on the Community Board, so Hello!

After countless wonderful, amazing trips to WDW (about 18 trips over last 15 years)....we've vowed that we are finally going to do it!....We are going to spend 6 days in Orlando/Lake Buena Vista and do all the things that Orlando has always seemed to offer, but we've never done....never had the "will power" to pull ourselves away from WDW and do oither stuf.

Problem is, we can't remember or think of what all that other stuff to do is. Outside of Sea Worlfd, Universal, Discovery Cove...what should we consider?

So.......and ideas you'd like to pass along would be greatly appreciated.

We'll be in a Residence in near Sea World, not the one on I-Drive. We're a party of three...Mom, Dad and LARGE teenage son.

Thanks!

Well, welcome to the CB! Not sure what there is there in Orlando, but sure you will get some ideas. Maybe run this by also on the Orlando board here on the DIS, in addition to here on the CB, two boards better thna one. And try to make it to the next Chicago meet, I am sure we will have a Spring one in April or May. Watch here and the Meet board for updates.

Welcome to the CB !

I don't know much about "other things" to do in Orlando, but we did The Kennedy Space Center last trip and thought it was very cool :thumbsup2

Just wanted to say welcome to the CB. It is a lot of fun over here, and not just for WDW stuff.

It seems like there are a lot of discounts out there for the other Orlando parks, so make sure you get a good deal. I know theres some sort of teacher one at Sea World and kids are free at Universal. Make sure you look into it.

Have fun!

Discovery Cove, SeaWorld, Universal, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, outlet shopping, Wet & Wild. If you want to go a bit further out, go to the Space Coast.

How about an orange grove?
I can't remember the name of the one we went to on the way to Cypress Gardens. But I recenty found one 10 minutes from Disney. You can pick your own or ship fruit.

Thanks for all the quick replies...I had already thought of the Space Center, but the orange grove idea seems kinda/sorta cool, too. Anyone have any thoughts, experiences with Busch Gardens?
