Ok, Valentine's Day

I am going to spend a romantic Valentines day with my DD in WDW. The two of us leave Thursday morning for competition and my DH and DS will have quality time at home. I told DH no gifts this year since we are spending so much on competition travel. So I am going to get creative and make a card.:)

I'll be taking a vacation day ... and then promptly spending it at my DDs school handing out food, running games, making crafts that won't hold up in backpacks and then cleaning up. With a kinder'g & a 3rd grader, I've got a room party in the morning & another in the afternoon.

Unfortunately, it's a WAY BUSY work week, so I'll be working many late hours all week to even justify being out for Valentine's parties.

After the parties, it will be dance class & chores ... then I'll probably have to work to make up for being gone.

That sounds romantic, huh?

Like our anniversary ... getting married on New Year's sounded like a great idea. And, it was celebrated well before the kids. However ... just try finding a babysitter for New Year's Eve!

We probably won't do anything on actual Valentine's Day. I have DH's present, and he is pre-ordering me one of the Pooh carts for my gift. The next weekend (the 22nd), we are going to go out to eat (it helps that I get paid on the 20th! ;) ) and to see "Vantage Point" which doesn't open until the 22nd! :)

I thought this was funny too. Today is our 18th anniversary; he is going to out to see mini remote car race and I am taking DD to swim. LOL At least we had dinner together last night with some friends while DD was at the Teen Center. He was thrilled with his gift certificate to Lowes, and I was happy with a basket filled with goodies.

Thursday is Valentine's Day, we both have to work, but we do have a babysitter for Friday night. We are going to go to a local pizza shop for grinders. :rotfl: :lmao:

The romance here is amazing. :lmao: :lmao:

DH is leaving Wed and back on Sat for biz trip, so DD and I on our own. But we are going to the Princess on Ice show Sat afternoon and dinner afterwards, so that's our celebration day. We usually just do cards and dinner every year with DD, no "romantic dinner" for us.

Valentine's day is special here though, 14 years ago, DH asked me to move from WA to FL and start our life together :lovestruc after long distance dating for 4 months, what a journey it has been!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Yep!!! I do need to go buy cards though. We can toss them at each other while we argue. :rotfl2:

Great plan- I might do this with DH also- he cancled my spa trip yesterday because he thought we should use the money for Disney.... So, I told him no gifts for V-day- but he better remember our anniversary, as it is a big one this year.
