Thanks to all responders to a previous post of mine regarding whether or not to bring a laptop! :thumbsup2

Well ... I'm bringing it.
I have a couple of questions for those of you "in the know". First of all ... it's a mac ... and I normally work wirelessly at home. Do I need to bring any sort of cable or is there one there (OKW) and will it be "mac friendly"? At present I don't have an internal modem installed ... do I need one?
Last question ... someone had mentioned the pricing and how, depending on when you log on, you can sometimes get two days for the price of one ... could someone tell me how that could work?

Thanks a bazillion!

Dave

There should be a cable in the closet. If not housekeeping will bring you one.

It's $9.95 for a 24 hour period. What I do is log on the afternoon of one day, check email and that gets me thorough part of the next day. If I do this every other day none of my client emails sit too long.

I'm also a Mac owner and have used my PowerBook at OKW (and several other Disney resorts) frequently. Like you, I prefer to work wirelessly so when I go to Disney I bring along an Airport Express. Obviously, any wireless router would work, I just like the AE because of it's size.

For wired work (or to connect the AE to the network) there will be a cable in the closet. I always carry a small retractable cable with me so I've never had to verify that. But there is a sign in the room that housekeeping will bring you a cable if you need one.

No need for special software or other procedures - just fire-up your preferred web browser and log-in.

I also have a Mac laptop, and when we brought it to WL in 2004 it worked fine. Like Jeff said, if you like working wirelessly an Airport Express is a great way to do so! :)

Here's the equipment you can expect to find in your room at OKW

Dare I ask one more question??? :goodvibes

Printing ... can I go and connect to a printer somewhere or maybe e-mail myself an attachment and access my account elsewhere? :confused3 OR ... can you rent a printer?
(thought about buying a portable).

Thanks, again!
